I am slowly starting to warm to the idea of Mr Rodgers being in our neighborhood

Between him and Mason we should be able to at least be average at quarterback

I just read that an “insider” stated Rodgers will sign will be at OTA and will be QB1

An insider said it so apparently it must be true

One of our posters who mostly posts other people’s thoughts told me “insiders” get information from agents and team officials

I already paid for my season tickets and chilled the beer

Tanking a game to get the #1 overall pick can make sense for a team. I don't get the thought behind tanking a whole season. Draft picks are never guaranteed and never have been. That's always been a strange thought to me. I've had some discussions on here actually, with fans that just want to tank 2025 to try for a high pick for QB next draft. When I look at the prospects for '26, 8 of the top 10 QB prospects just finished their freshman or sophomore seasons. I don't understand how they can be projected to be any better already. Makes no sense. Plus, there is no guarantee they won't just stay in school and not declare.
So, what would we tank for again? I can't wrap my head around it. I believe you build the best team you can to compete each and every season. Put it all on the line.

Insider could also be the janitor. They are almost never outside, making them the ultimate insider......

This is pathetic. Steelers fans grasping on to any tidbit of news. It reminds me of years ago, during one of the Browns’ many coaching changes, it was rumored that Bill Cowher was coming to be their head coach, and was giving them a hometown discount to do so. There were postings of him searching for a house in Berea, and the poster’s cousin was neighbors with the brother of the real estate agent who was handling it. Of course, Cowher never came. So are we turning into sad Browns fans?
BTW, CBS once had an online contest, you could enter the name of your High School team and the winner would have Bill Cowher come and coach you for a day. I tried to enter CLEVELAND BROWNS but the site would not accept it. I guess it had been tried before.

Honestly, we are bored is what it is (IMO). It is the in between everything season right now. I don't think that it is so much that we are grasping at stuff, we are just wanting some Steeler news. Does not really matter what it is. Lacking that news, we speculate and wonder. Because we like our team for some odd psychological reason that causes unflinching loyalty to a sports team. That would make an interesting study. Why are people so pathologically dedicated to a particular team....lol

Robert you are probably right. I wish the Pirates would make a huge trade or go on a winning streak or something to break the malaise. It will be miserable until the draft. I guess I will do a mock draft and post results.

When you said you were an old beer drinker, I thought you meant you’re an old guy who drinks beer, not a guy who drinks old beer.

I trust you've trained the four-legged members of the family to retrieve.

Tried teaching mine but it became fetch and enjoy for yourself. Serves me right for bringing something home from Flying Dog Brewery.

    Start training them early

Training them to get a beer is easy

Getting them not to take a drink is challenging

Years ago a friend of a friend had an orangutan who would go get beers and he always got one for himself

On a side note orangutans instinctively share if you give one a candy bar it will break it in half and share it with you

Steelers go 11-6 just to keep it Steeler related

    12-5 with the Dark Night

By now, Pickens has to be frustrated that these two keep playing catch everyday.
