Man, this guy was so good. Favorite Steeler ever. Hate like hell that he didn’t finish his career here.

He was actually under consideration for a coaching position for the secondary this season.

    His first TD ever.

    More highlights.

I burned his AFC pro bowl Jersey.LoL. Wish I didn't. He was a favorite, but once he played 4 the Ravens after his stint in the 49ers I freaking hated him. I was so glad when Hines (1 of my Favorite players) knocked him out.

I remember all of those. Woodson was incredible. Hated when he left.

On a side note. The best part was the few seconds of celebration by the individual and the quick congratulations by his teammates. I'm so tired of the choreographed garbage in todays NFL after the most simple turnover. A ball carrier could muff a hand off in todays NFL and cause the turnover himself and suddenly we have a Broadway show going on 75 yards away from where the play happened.

I feel the Steelers have made a lot of right choices in letting Key Free Agents Walk over the years of Free Agency.

Rod Woodson was not one of the better decisions of letting a guy go

That stuck out to me too. I don’t think this is what the NFL had in mind when they relented on no celebrating.

Steelers lost too many great players from 1997-1999. 1997 was a good year, but it would be the last until the early 00's. Frustrating time to be a Steelers fan. Kinda like now.

    Amen.

Those celebrations included the fans. Brought us in. Celebrated WITH us. Today, it's not about the fans. It's about the players. That disconnect is growing. Getting so hard to actually get invested in these prima donnas and their "brands." I loved those teams, loved those players. Got into bar fights in my younger days over my team. Why would anyone care enough today to actually stand up for their team, short of acting like idiots on a message board?

And getting back on topic...Rod was the man. One of my favorite Steelers of all time.

My first adult Steelers jersey was a Woodson jersey. Still have it... authentic from 1990.

I had the white Bradshaw jersey in the late 70's, early 80's in kid size.
