DWP bought Rocklahoma this year so now its part of the Danny Wimmer Presents family..I could see Rocklahoma becoming 1 of, if not the biggest rock fest in the nation in 2-3 years time

Always wanted to make a Rocklahoma festival. It just doesn’t make sense at my age.

Again... only problem is ....none of the bands I actually want to see play at the same day....there are four I actually listen to, and the rest I don't care about.....sucks, and I can't afford to be away for that long to be there everyday.....especially at this time of year.

The lead singer of one of those smaller groups (ADD) grew up a few doors down from me and hung out at my house with my daughters all the time when they were young (pre-teen). Good kid. He always had aspirations of being a singer. Happy to see him chasing his goals.

Sucks?? AS in ROK sucks? or Sucks you cant attend?..............The reason i say ROK will grow to be one of the largest fests in the nation.is DWP bought the Fest and the land it sits on...DWP will not have to lease this venue, giving them more freedom for larger bands .The camping alone can hold 20k campers ....

No...it doesn't suck into itself....it suck because only 4 bands I care about all play on different days, and I can't be there for all the days.

I know of 28 of them....and only four I really like enough to sit through their whole sets, and 3 of them are playing on different days.

This old head would get his ass kicked in a mosh pit but there are 5 bands I'd love to see their sets from the safety of a comfortable chair suspended above the crowd.

Curious, in the age of covid are joints being passed around still a thing at concerts? I'm going back to the 70's. Hell, now days they could all eat gummies. Fire Marshall would have no problem with that.

No surprise, this lineup is as foreign to me as Woodstock and Love-Ins I attended would have been to my parents. Other than that, glad to see live musical festivals still happening. :thumbs up:
