Listening to local radio here in Columbus, Ohio - it sounds like this is going to be dismissed. Many are even wondering why he was arrested in the first place, considering his blood alcohol level was so low.

Probably going to be a non-issue, going forward. We will know more this afternoon, after the hearing.

It's more semantics in this discussion. Charged is probably what people mean to say.

Well sitting in a car with the keys is still technically a DUI so that's the crime. DUI is a problem but it's also a huge money maker for cities and counties. I think we should reward him for not driving instead of trying to scoop up five grand in fines.

The only way I see to avoid this charge would have been for him to put the keys in the trunk. The keys in the trunk takes away the means for immediate access to drive, thus no crime. In my jurisdiction DUI/OVI is a mandatory arrest and the officer has too take him if he feels he's over the limit. At .08 a good lawyer should be able to get the charge dropped. A bad lawyer will plea him to a lesser charge.

This why I dislike many Ohio State players. Many bad character choices. Look at Holmes with the weed. Adams with the Weed, plus his stabbing, wrong place wrong time. Maurice Clarett, the list goes on and on.

Not saying that other schools don't have problem players but Ohio State sure gets a bunch of them.

Last night I read an article stating they expect the charges to be dismissed.

Also, his bac was .008 and the legal limit is .08 so I'm not sure why he was charged with anything.

Well this is a non issue and I don't know why they are covering it; I guess it's the draft. Maybe we did this because like Stallworth we wanna hold the tapes for our own bias (Which I'm all for haha).

Colbert and Tomlin aren't that smart. They've missed on so many recent draft picks.
    Now Bill Bellicheat......

He hasn't disputed failing the field sobriety check. Maybe it wasn't alcohol, but at 4:20am in a parked car (just 2 hours after 'last call'), he may have been recovering from other drugs. Maybe someone ruphied him? You would have thought he would have had good enough friends to hang with that would keep him out of trouble this close to the draft.

There's definitely a hole in the story that makes a reasonable person suspicious.

    Ha! That's it!

"Last thing I remember, I was meeting with Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin for dinner. Then, a cop was tapping his maglite on my driver's side window."

No big deal, it might drop him a round in the draft which is good for us, just how many times have you all driven a car after drinking a few? You just didn't get caught, I know I did a lot in my youthful days and just never got caught, I even passed out behind the wheel and the cops drove me home back in the 60s without charging me, I would never even consider trying it today with the crackdown and stiff penalties on DUI.....There's no choir boys here, you know you have done the same thing before, so admit it....

I defended Roby but please, don't compare any of us to guys who have a golden opportunity and are days away from being set for life.
