Damn, would loved to have seen Robert Saleh replace Tomlin as Steelers coach. He has turned the Jets into a contender. He's turned the perennial losers into a team that believe in themselves.

Tomlin..... year prior was 3 and 4. His first year we became #1 in the division. And his second year we won a ring.

Saleh..... year prior 2 and 14. His first year 4 and 13. . And you are all hyped for what? Because he is 5 and 3. Furthermore look at their draft picks. Not only two #1 picks. But the #2 overall and #14. Then one on each round until the 5th where they had three. As the sixth with having three.

Don't get me wrong I respect him. But he's no Tomlin. And won't be living up to it.

So you really want to do some to apples, I'll put money on it if Tomlin gets the #2 overall pick fur next year, he would do crazy better than 4 and 13. Want to take that bet?

Did you really just compare a coach to Tomlin saying he is no Tomlin??? :roflmao:

    WOW

You realize after this season Mike will have won 3 playoff games in 12 years and the Steelers are arguably the worst team in football?

Defend Tomlin all you want, but Saleh is the real deal. The Jets have been getting high draft picks like that for a long time, but Salah finally has them doing something with that talent despite some brutal injuries. Breece Hall was looking like a contender for NFL Rookie of the Year before he blew out his knee. They have lost a couple of starters on the offensive line. Their starting quarterback missed about a month of the season. Even with all that, they are 6-2 and they just beat the Bills. Their offense is not great, but that defense is outstanding.

Going forward, the Jets are in a much better position to win than the Steelers and Saleh is part of that.

Isn't it funny how picking high in the draft all these years has finally come to fruition maybe? Cincy Bengals
    also have this designation.

High draft picks alone don't get it done. You have to develop and use them properly.

Yet 3rd in the division before he took over. We also know how he went to the SB 2 years after getting a ring, but y'all haters just forget that.

Y'all sound like a dang politician in that entire matter.

The Steelers aren't the worst team in football, have you watched Carolina, Houston, or Las Vegas play?

Hard to argue with this. We had REALLY good teams for most of those 12 years too. BIG TIME underachievement.

I like Saleh. He has the Jets playing good ball. But these are the Jets. The same team that was calling Eric Mangini "Eric Mangenious". Two years later, he was gone. The Jets haven't been relevant since Rex Ryan was there and before that you'd have to go back to when Parcells was there. No, this isn't as much a reflection on Robert Saleh as it is the Jets as an organization. They have a way of Brown-ing things up.

Those things are relevant until they aren't. Mangini was smoke and mirrors. I don't think that is the case with Saleh.
