Rivers to Titans?

Rumors are heating up here about Phillip Rivers being traded to TN along with the 17th pick so the Chokers can take Mariota at # 2. I REALLY hope it happens! It would keep in San Diego's tradition of trading/giving away good players and make them less of a contender for years! Archie Manning is 100% correct!!!

 

I've heard that they were maybe interested in Mariota as well. I've also heard the Bears have looked at him too. I think it would be even more funny for him to beat Cutler out of a job. I highly doubt that's gonna happen since Cutler is eating up so much cap space.

 

Rivers is playing out the last year of his contract rather than extend. He's on record that he doesn't want to move to L.A. as it looks like the Chargers will do!

 

I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to move to LA. I'm too close to that place from where I'm sitting. It would really make sense for him to move to TN because he's really a southern guy anyway and would be pretty close to North Carolina. I doubt this happens though because they've been talking up Mettenberger a lot recently and think he might be the future. If that is really true I doubt they would bring in a guy that would beat him out of a job during his developmental years.
