    I had a bit of a love/hate thing with him for a while. Loved his energy. Loved many of his - for lack of a better word - flourishes.

    But I hated it when it felt like he was just forcing them in. Leaning a bit too heavy on a gimmick.

    But overall, I always appreciated him. He was a large part in making Sportscenter fun back in the day.

    He was a good man. For that alone, he'll be missed.

    RIP..... the best thing to ever happen to espn, and sports broadcasting in general
    many people on espn's roster (Steven A. Smith, jemella hill, Mike Smith etc..) wouldn't be there today if it weren't for stuart scott
