I was fortunate (and old enough) to have season tickets with my Dad to watch Paul play All American halfback at Pitt in one of their best seasons - 1963. He was #1 Steelers draft pick in 1964 where he was converted to a defensive back. Very successful attorney and business executive following his pro FB days and one of Pittsburgh's best overall products. RIP Sir - enjoyed watching you play way back when.

Paul went from Shady Side Academy to Pitt and then was the #1 pick for the Steelers. He was one of the better players on some really bad teams. He retired early to get his law degree and was the CEO of the Penguins, owner of the Pittsburgh Maulers, CEO of the Civic Arena and was the executive VP of the 49ers being a long time friend of the DeBartolos. He was a very accomplished individual.

Not sure if you mean Pitt or Steelers but Pitt's HC is '63 was John Michelosen and Steelers in '64 was Buddy Parker.

Sorry, board joke. Martha converted to a safety, something PWP preaches. He’s not old enough to have been coach then so I joked if it was his dad.
