They were just discussing this on NFLN and, apparently, there's no more truth too it than the Phillip Rivers trade rumor. looks like someone at ESPN saw "Draft Day" too many times.

WTF? He would be like the 8th qb they've drafted in the last 15 years.

Let that sink in. 3 first round QBs in 4 years. THREE. And 4 in eight years. Blowing that many first round picks, it's no wonder they suck.

If they covet Bradford as much as they seem to perhaps it is just to trade Mariota to the eagles for Bradford since it is less of a jump for the Browns to move up and draft him rather than the Eagles jumping up from 20

Wait... the Browns covet Bradford? Oh boy... a scenario like that would be too good to be true. The Browns draft a guy who truly has long-run franchise QB potential, but they trade him away for Bradford, and 2015 and 2016 1st rounders that they will likely squander. Then, Bradford suffers a season ending injury taking his post game shower in Week 2... Oh, the schadenfreude....

Yeah according to one article I read it said they tried to trade for him twice, not sure if it was both with the Eagles or not but it said they failed twice. So it makes more sense for them to move up a few spots and draft him and see what kinda of deal Chip would throw their way. I don't buy it for a second that Bradford is the ideal QB for Kelly's system.
