    Living in Warren PA in 1972 so saw the Immaculate Reception on the Erie channel as Erie was Buffalo Viewing Audience...no Pittsburgh black out. My mom woke me up New Years day 1973 with the news about Roberto...I believe I just starred at the TV all day waiting for an update that never came.

    I honestly had never put the two events together, but that's a generational thing since I was just a baby. I can't imagine the feelings for those who were old enough to truly process all of that.

    I was only 16 when that happened to Roberto. I kept hoping for a long time that he had made to a deserted island and would be found alive.
