Carrie Fisher died this morning after suffering a heart attack a few days ago. She was 60.

Holy crap, I just saw this a few minutes ago. They just said last night she was in stable condition. This really sucks. Prayers for her family.

I had been worried she was going to since she had her heart attack the other day. The fact that her brother wouldn't offer much info pretty much told me that she wasn't going to make it and even if she did she would never be the same. This is so lame. Star Wars and The Burbs will forever live on in my heart. Our female weenie dog is even named Leia. One of my all time favorite scenes in movie history is when she says "I love you" and Han says "I know". My wife actually got me a Han shirt the other day that says "I know". Most celebrity deaths don't really bother me all that much but this one hurts.

I was so bummed when I heard this. Like BFT, this one really hit me for some reason. Maybe because she was such an integral part of Star Wars, and those were some of my favorite movies when I was a kid.

Having a heart attack on an airplane is probably literally the worst place in the whole world to have one. Just terrible timing.

    Rest in peace, Carrie.

Princess Leia was the first "girlfriend" for how many of you guys? You can tell me. I won't tell anyone. ;) :lolol:

To echo many of the thoughts here she was an huge part of my childhood and my love of Star Wars. As Alan Rickman said Always. RIP Carrie you will forever be our Princess.

That will also forever remind me of Ross and Rachel on Friends. I know you've never seen it but there's an episode about how Ross has a fantasy about the Gold Bikini that he has had since childhood and said that every kid growing up in that day had it. Sorta like how every kid from my generation thought Pamela Anderson and Jennifer Aniston were the best looking women alive. Aniston stayed hot but man Pamela Anderson just turned out to look like poor white trash.

I saw Pam Anderson at the car show a few years before her plastic surgeries. I think Baywatch had just started. She was a very attractive woman before she screwed herself up with all the surgeries.

I wouldn't say the first girlfriend, but i knew a "guy" who often fantasied about her. She may have started the "girl next door" look.

She was attractive, no doubt but, to quote some wise men, "I like my women just a little on the trashy side"

I don't know if it's actually true but I seriously heard not too long ago that their guitar player lived in a homeless shelter because of drug addiction.

Yeah they really sorta fit in to that Kentucky Headhunters type category where they weren't really country but more southern rock that appealed to country fans.
