Was just going to post this. I liked the fact that he pretty much was always winking at the audience, never taking himself too seriously. Here's a good story about him - the parts about Deliverance are hilarious. He even played an ex-Steeler QB on a TV series. RIP Sir. It was a lot of fun and a hell of a ride.

rip Burt. My wife and some friends went to see Smokey and the Bandit in a theater. I laughed so hard my face hurt. I bought the movie and the car. We went on our honeymoon in a 79 Trans Am. Such a great time. I got pulled over once for speeding, the man said thanks for stopping, I wasn't looking forward to chasing you. No ticket. Seriously. Route 7 in Ohio.
