So, they're showing a "classic" game right now between the Steelers/Bears from '95. It's great seeing Kirkland, Lloyd, Greene, Searcy, Slash, etc. but, I still get pissed when they show,"He who's name shall not be mentioned" at QB

Love watching these, though, when did they become classics? I had the same notion the other day when I turned on a classic rock station and said, "Hey...this song's not that old!".

In his defense, the passes he threw to Larry Brown were very accurate.

I get that same feeling when I hear stuff from the Black Album on classic rock stations and I'm like "but this is from when I was a kid and not when my dad was a kid...." So I guess what they're trying to say is that I MYSELF am ALSO "classic"??? LOL!

It is actually a self titled Metallica album but since it has a black cover it is called the "Black Album". It is the album with Enter Sandman, Sad But True, Whereever I may roam, Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven, Holier than Thou, and others. It is the album that really shot them in to the stratosphere and some people consider it the point where they "sold out". It might be but it still rocks HARD. I remember when it came out and I was like 7. That's why I feel old when I hear that and Nirvana on classic rock stations. I'm sure TTF feels the same although he is a little bit older than me.

The only song title I recognize is "Enter Sandman" but, then, I was never a metallica fan and flat out can't stand Nirvana. They're even less intelligable thanElton John or Credence!

Wow you were only 7 when it came out:eek: and you feel old?? I was im my lid to late 20's. I saw the tour , they were with suicidal tendacies, and candelbox.. It was a great concert. but not nearly as great as their Master of puppets tour, when they opened up for Ozzy:rockin:

I missed it! Why is that channel 99% filler and then repeats of filler? It's impossible to find the 1% of actual football games. There are SO many. Just pick one and put it on, then do that again!

I was thinking the same thing. Damn album was huge right before I joined the Navy. Everyone was rolling around blasting it and that was the golden age of MTV. Enter sandman was the top video thaT YEAR.

I would have been 33 when that album came out so, I'm old enough to remember when MTV actually played music videos!

Me too. I literally watched it all day in the summer until cartoons came on. I would memorize Slash's moves in GNR videos and do them in the living room. When he stood on the piano in November Rain I would stand on the couch. LOL.

I used to do the entire MJ "The way you make me feel" video in class during high school.

I had a bunch of MJ's vids memorized because I was obsessed with him and the Jackson 5 even. My mom and dad used to pay me to do all the dances in front of their friends. LOL. The Way You Make Me Feel was really risque for a kid. Parents were different then or something. Maybe that's what's wrong with me now? LOL.

I can remember watching "Video Killed the Radio Star" and all those annoying, "I want my MTV" spots on one of the TVs at the Giggling Marlin in Cabo San Lucas in the mid 80s 'cause they were the first ones in town to have it. That was pretty much the only reason to go there.
