Does anyone see a comeback for this once promising rookie sensation?

Might a change of scenery help? Apparently he's been playing safety during practice but obviously that can't be a long-term plan.

Griffin's fifth-year option has an injury guarantee of $16.1 million for 2016. It's very risky for a team to acquire him.

It's risky to be using him as a safety during practice, much less have him anywhere near the weight room with that price tag.

RG3- The project was short lived, though he will always be a showman.

With my wife being a Skins fan i follow them pretty close also. The Redskins have flat out ruined the kid. IMO he's still got it. I think he will go to another team, be the starter and make the Skins eat crow. Don't misunderstand me, he's no Montana, but can be a real good starter for someone in the future.

Do you see him as a starter running the read option or actually having potential to be a very good traditional pocket passer QB?

The Skins haven't ruined him. He's done it all by himself with a little help by Snyder.

I dont think he will ever be a traditional QB. I also dont think he will have to have all read option plays either. A mixture of both and he will be just fine.

I have to strongly disagree. The media spins alot of this RG3 BS and all the sports fan jump on the bandwagon. Just like this weeks report about him and Cousins. Totally false, but the media takes one non issue and makes it the story of the week. And unless you follow the team closely, and have somewhat of an insiders info, you have noone to listen to but the media?

You don't know if it's false or not. It very well might be, but that doesn't change the dysfunctional dynamic that those two have created there. I love the blame the media argument. People use it like it's some trump card to support their argument. It's all lies and spin by the media.

I think he can salvage his career away from that mess in Washington. I just don't know where, since most of the good coaches are already paired with a good QB. Maybe Houston would be a good spot, with O'Brien. Or if Osweiler doesn't pan out up in Denver after Manning retires, I think Denver would be a good spot with Kubiak and Elway looking out for him.

Here's the problem with your assessment of the media. They're just doing their jobs. The readers eat that sensationalized bs up. If there wasn't a market for that type of "reporting" it wouldn't exist. You say there are a bunch dirt bags in that business, but in actuality it's the readers.

I agree that another team should give him a shot. I also agree that the Redskins ruined him.

I was so impressed with his press conference after he lost in the playoffs in his rookie season. The Skins kept running him over and over and I could not believe they would do that with an injured QB. His knee gave out without an impact and he played through all that pain, and then didn't put any blame in his coaches poor playcalling. RGIII accepted all responsibility for the loss.

Big part of the problem is that RGIII got caught in the pissing match between Shanahan and Snyder.

RGIII has to show he can be a pocket passer since he is fragile. I think that will make a lot of teams tentative to sign him next year. He has pretty good accuracy though so he has a shot.

If it's all lies and spin by the media, then it is a Trump card??? Sounds kinda contradicting on your end to me.
