    RG III? No, f%*k no.

Winston is intriguing. Such a great athlete. He'd have some toys in the WR's the Steeler's have. I'd kick the tires on a one year "prove it" deal at the right price. I like Brissett. He's hard nosed and a good athlete. Like him more than Mariota. I love Fitzmagic but I'm afraid if this line is still shaky next year, he'd never finish the season.

It's all moot though, as the Steelers will afford Saint Roethlisberger every opportunity to decide what HE wants to do instead of doing the right thing which would be to tell him to retire, and if he doesn't, to release him. I'm past the "He could help the team IF, IF, IF, IF........" They are not going anywhere with or without him next year.

This is how I feel as well. Father Time and injury has got him unfortunately. Next year is going to be an almighty struggle with or without him, they are not going to be contenders and I don’t see any reason for him to come back on a personal level except the money. I respect that others feel differently however.

Mason and a cheap veteran are the way to go while they deal with the cap issues in 2021, hopefully they get some guys in the draft that can help in other areas of need.

Doesn’t appear we will get the chance to find out about Winston even if Ben doesn’t come back.

Could be they went with Hill during the season to see what they had in him, which wasn’t much.

Winston is much better IMO and Kamara definitely will benefit from playing with Winston over Hill.

That makes sense and is probably why they acquired him on the cheap. Interesting but could work for them. Winston is not as bad as some may think.

Winston had his eyes fixed with lasik surgery last off season. His bad eye sight seemed to be part of the reason he threw 30 interceptions in 2019.

Top 3 FA for me are Tyrod Taylor, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jacoby Brisettt

No, I won't break any balls on fans that would like to see him come back, I get it. They realize it's the end of an era when he cashes his chips in. However, the pragmatic and prudent thing to do regarding Ben is to move on and get started on a rebuild. Best case scenario is they start the year 4-4 and and go 2-6 when he's beat up the second half. They play the AFC West and the NFC North next year. No cream puff division to go 3-1 against.

He gets paid millions. His coaches get paid millions. The team invested millions in grooming him. And no one told him he needs glasses?

I don't know why he didn't do it sooner. I read the article last summer and can't remember if that was discussed. Maybe he didn't feel he needed it, but the squinting jokes and memes go back to his college days.

I agree, but they are in Cap hell as well. They also need to see what's going on with Johnson..guy gets paid then goes batcrap crazy...not that we have any reference for that.

As someone who got lasik 20 years ago and didn’t wear glasses you don’t realize how much you are missing until you can see 20/20.

1st time I was in a frequent watering hole after getting it done I noticed a clock and said to my friend, you’re kidding me, that’s always been there.

Winston probably just felt it wasn’t necessary.

What if i said that Jamais is more Jamarcus than he is Ben? True statement if he doesn't click with
    some unfortunate team pretty soon.

Tyrod & especially Ryan would be worth looking at short term. I'm not convinced that the Steelers won't be in the playoff picture next year.

He’s already had way more success than Russell.

Anyway, after what Brees said to him, seems like he is in the Saints plans after all.

Good point. I didn't think I needed glasses until my wife recently bought me a pair of those generic reading glasses. What a difference.

Not even close to true. Jamarcus had a crappy attitude, and gave up.

Through the first 5 years of their careers, Winston had a lower interception % than Peyton Manning. Obviously it can be fixed.

They also played in 2 different era's.....of what you could and couldn't do 2 WR, QBs, and basically different rules. Not saying Winston can't be fixed....just don't like comparing 2 different era's of football....and I always thought P. Manning was overrated...very good, but not as good as some would have U believe. IMO
