From the "Big Three" to Stephon Tuitt, this defense has been quite stellar in spite of the lack of "star power" that some do not see.

-Bud Dupree is blossoming before our very eyes.

    - He may have hit some speed bumps, but Artie Burns is still exceeding expectations and improving every week.

    - Sean Davis is flying around everywhere and making plays when needed most.

    - Stephon Tuitt has become the disruptive force many of us thought he would

    - Steady as a rock, Javon Hargrave has become the anchor we needed.

All in all, this defense is a big reason as to why we are still in the playoffs. To me, their "Signature Game" came on Sunday against the Cheifs. Yes, the Chiefs do not have an electrifying offense. However, nullifying the likes of Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill was key. If one got hot, the other would follow.

Now that their "Signature Performance" is in tow, they know they are a great defense and can match up well with anyone. Time to see what this defense can do against the Patriots.

    Thoughts?

If kicking 6 field goals is a "signature performance," then the Steelers are in a world of trouble. If the defensive game plan is to tackle the catch, then look for a 14 - 20 point blowout. Brady's release is too quick for the pass rush to get there. They need to challenge Edelman at the line of scrimmage and disrupt his routes. They need to mix up the blitzes and rush up the middle some. The Patriots really don't have a stretch-the-field deep threat. Play press coverage, win the one-on-one battles with their o-line, and get to Brady. The only way to win.

On offense, they need to sustain and finish drives. Much easier said than done with the current level of QB play.. If they don't, they lose, pure and simple. Add in a pick or two thrown by Ben, tipped at the line of scrimmage or otherwise, and the game will be over by halftime.

The Steelers have the personnel and scheme to beat the Patriots. Will be pleasantly surprised if they do though.

I meant by the defensive side, not totality of the team.
