With Revis off to the Bucs, and the Jets likely to use their 2 early picks on Offensive guys, could CB Xavier Rhodes now fall to the Steelers @ #17? Is that something worth looking at? I think so.

If Rhodes is available at #17, I view it as a better likelihood of finding a trade partner. I don't like Rhodes at #17. He has physical upside, but on film he looks like he lacks the ability to change direction as quickly as many receivers, and tries to make up for it by being physical more than 5 yards downfield.

That's how I see it too. I wouldn't hate Rhodes but I'm hoping some big names fall to us so we can trade down. My dream scenario is to move down, pick up and extra 3rd, and select Deandre Hopkins (my fav Wr in this class), or Arthur Brown.

I feel the same exact way. I mean exactly...trading back...Nuk Hopkins or Arthur Brown late in the first and an extra 3rd...I'd dance a frickin jig. Hopkins is smart, soft handed, runs crisp routes, isn't afraid to get hit in the middle, and shows flashes of contortionism to make the tough catch. He'd be an excellent offensive weapon.

My gut tells me the trade won't change things a ton. They could easily pick a CB like the Bucs might have with their pick. It also gives them the ability to trade down and pick up more picks...but still get a top guy they are eyeing. Or they could double up on offense as was said. But I don't think it would have a huge ripple effect as some think...but who knows.

No Way the Jets use BOTH picks on Offense! Before they got the 2nd no1 they were thought to be going for a pass rushing LB or possibly DL. There coach is REX Ryan ya know? They have no pass rush and lost there starting ILB and lost 2 on the D line.Plus they just traded there no! DB..I think them having 2 picks in front of us and alot of the same needs defensively is gonna paly a HUGE part in what we do in Rd.1 as well as alot of other teams.

With all the depth in the draft i'd love to see us trade down and reload in 1 year in this deep draft! Here is a scenario i read on the Depo i really liked!

"Assuming the Falcons are willing to move up 13 spots, it would cost them ~ their R1, R2, and R4 selections to swap with the Steelers. Considering that the Falcons have 12 picks in the draft (1 R4 comp and 3 R7 comps), that might not be too costly for them – PFT references the Falcons moving up in the draft when they wanted Julio Jones.

Such a trade would give the Steelers 10 picks, 6 in the first 4 rounds!

    our pick would be:
    rd1#30 (ATL)
    rd2#16 (48)
    rd2#28 (60) (ATL).
    rd3#17 (79)
    rd4#18 (115)
    rd4#30 (127) (ATL).
    rd5#17 (150)
    rd6#18 (186)
    rd6#38 COMP (206).
    rd7#17 (223)

We could fill ALOT of holes with that draft!
