nope. last thing they need is a guy thats way passed his prime taking time away form the young guys. if their gonna go out a sign a FA it has to be a guy that has a future there. not a guy thats looking for 1 last payday.

They already paying Mitchell, and a young player in Sean Davis no room for Revis at safety.

Mitchell is not a good Zone Safety he is a hit first guy and a huge part of the problem .....

Maybe he's not, but that doesn't mean Revis is the answer either. They should find Mitchell's replacement in the draft.

As much as I can recognize how incredible Revis has been up to this point, I have to say I'm not a fan of the idea of bringing him into Pittsburgh. I think that either his ship has sailed, or it will be soon.

The jets released him yesterday and saved 9 million in cap space, it will be interesting to see which team signs him and for how much in FA his stock has fallen but some team will sign him again, but probably not here.....

Patriots will sign Revis and he will be All Pro. Patriots D will be so great, that Brady will only have to play 3 quarters for every game, all year long in '17.

Sean Davis is the only good player we have in the secondary, i'd take revis on the cheap one year if he was willing to do so and see if he's really done or not.

Revis wants to come here when he's washed up. What a joke. Only way he's in the league next year is if he makes the transition to safety and I'm good with what we got.

The Jets basically tried to play a boxing 1 early in year and let Revis go 1 on 1 ...Teams would put their fastest WR on him and run him deep...Revis did give up some big plays , but they started giving him Safety help after he got that he played much better....Revis is better than Ross he is better than Gay and he is better than Mike for sure...For a few Mil we better make a play at him....

    Aw, HELL NO!

What a step backwards and a statement of desperation for anybody who would pay up for him.

He is at a position of need, we need another guy, but I don't know if he has the speed any more to play on "revis island". That means you need to provide him some extra cover or you put him in a place where he covers someone who isn't Jarvis Jones.

In addition, I would need to know his situation with the arrest before signing him.

I don't see why... he's admitted he's old and has lost a step. Teams will run him deep alllllll day. Only way I see it as a possibility is if it is a super cheap deal and only a year or two (and minimal dead money if he's cut after a single season).

Davis isn't even in the top 2 in the secondary. He will probably be #2 though next year.

Revis wants 8 million a year, he's not worth half that amount.

From what I've read, he gets at least 6 million this season no matter what. If we pay him 2 million, the Jets pay him 4. If he doesn't work, the Jets pay him 6. For it to be in his financial interest to take a job, he'd need to make north of 6 million. Not happening here, and probably shouldn't happen anywhere.

Artie Burns had good rookie year and will be even better this year, 51 solo tackles 13 assists with 3 picks I look for his stats to be improved this year..

If Revis takes under 4 mil I think hes worth a shot. If not then no thanks. Go after Kirkpatrick. Hurts the bengals to lose him and hes better than Cockrell IMO. Burns, Kirkpatrick, and cockrell wouldn't be a bad top 3 corners.

    Yeah, that's what I saw.

Kind of a position to envy - when it's not worth working unless you get paid more than 6m.

    Saw this on twitter:

Darrelle Revis makes pitch to his hometown Steelers. Says playing for them "would be a dream come true."
