    Which also means that the Ravens would not have won out. You may want to look up the word "if" in the dictionary.

    We could lose both games vs the Ravens and still win the division.

    You guys may be more familiar with the tie-break system. What happens if we split head to head and both finish at 11-6? Or 10-5? Does it go to division record next? AFC record?

    On your original post, the Chiefs may actually need help even if they win out. Someone would need to look at other teams’ schedules and assess all of the permutations involving tiebreakers to know. But, it’s interesting to see the modern NFL dynasty potentially being in a position where they may have 7 must-win games remaining.

    This is what I meant by my post. All 4 of those AFC QBs are sitting here today with a must win scenario in front of them. The teams ahead of them have to lose or they all are at risk of missing the playoffs.
    These are the front runners, the best of the best by all opinions. And they are struggling this season.
    This actually opens the door for a team like the Steelers. Defense is starting to play much better. Offense is putting up points. Obviously we must do our part, but it's there for the taking.

    Offense is getting worst the last 3 weeks. Not a great sign with a soon to be 42 year old QB.

    The 3rd tiebreaker in the division is the common games between those 2 teams

    But the ravens will have the tiebreaker(if the steelers and ravens split the season series)if the ravens won both game vs bengals,so they would be sure to have a better division record that the steelers in this scenario

    Agreed - who also now has a slight fracture in his wrist. I will say, with how Tomlin is talking about it, there might be a chance Rodgers plays this weekend (not sure of that is good or not).

    First I have to figure out which team will show up. The one that Lost to Cincy or the one that beat the Colts. Next I have to figure out who MT is going to start. A hot handed MR or old, slow and injured AR. And then Slay or Pierre? After that I have to figure out whether TJ and Cam will have a disruptive impact ever again. From there I have to also understand that DK will have little help at WR so will they continue to feed Mt. Washington. Next will Warren be healthy enough to make an impact and can Gainwell do what he did against a lousy Bungles defense. Finally Boz may be our only hope for the remaining games to give us a winning record. It will have to be one game at a time. Have to beat the Bears or it could get ugly. Especially with the Rats having the Jets and Bengals next.

    We just scored 34 points vs the Bengals. First meeting we scored 31 points. I'll take that kind of getting worse.

    I think the keys are our pass rush (particularly Watt’s play) and Qb play (AR i assume). If those two perform well we win the division. the below is based on those two producing, if not were not winning the division and maybe get a losing record.

    5-2, 11-6

    @Chicago W
    Buffalo W
    @Baltimore L
    Miami W
    @Detroit L
    @Cleveland W
    Baltimore W

    Keep this in mind.

    We win the division, we get the #1 schedule for next season with, most likely, a rookie/first year QB. And, still building the WR room. We are not there yet.

    I think we have 2 relatively guaranteed wins (though with MT teams, anything can happen) in Cleveland and Miami. For us to get to 10 wins, we will have to split Baltimore and win either the Chicago, Buffalo, or Detroit game. Honestly the only team that I am pretty 100% certain we are worse than is Detroit. Buffalo is good, but shakier than in years' past. Chicago has a good record, but hasn't beaten anyone that has a winning record, so are they actually good? Or a very mid team that has won some close games against bad teams. We usually find a way to split with Baltimore, so I would like to think we beat them at some point. I'm going to go 10-7 with my prediction. I think we split Baltimore and beat Chicago, Miami, and Cleveland. I think we can still beat the Bills and make it to 11 wins.

    Now throwing logic out the window and just going off what we do with MT, I say we lose to Chicago, Baltimore once, and Cleveland, and beat Baltimore once, Buffalo, Miami, and Detroit. Ez 10-7. Jokes aside, it seems like 9 or 10 wins is the most likely scenario. If our defense has truly been fixed by the safety tandem of Ramsey/Dugger and we get back to being a good unit rather than a bad one... then yeah, 10-11 wins is likely. If they are Jekyll/Hyde like always, maybe more like 9-10 wins. Offense will have to chip in, but I'm optimistic that we can figure out how to score 20+ points a game.

    Steelers will lose to either Browns or Dolphins or maybe both. It's a given every year under Tomlin regime... losing games where Steelers have far superior talent than opposing team. Tradition since 2014 Bucs/Glennon.

    Yeah, idc really. I'd rather us win the division and host a playoff game (and hopefully win also) than to be jockeying our wins/losses for a better schedule in 2026. We don't know for sure that we will have a rookie QB (Rodgers could return, or we could do something else entirely) and with a poor 2026 class it might be hard to find a rookie that we like better than Howard anyways. My personal preference is to skip the 26 class at QB and roll Howard for a season. He either sinks or swims. If he swims, then great... we got our guy. If he sinks, we get a high draft pick in what looks to be a significantly better 27 QB class.

    The offense only scored 20 points against the Bengals last week. The defense scored 2 TD's.

    Nobody here can convince me we can't go 11-6, after we have already beaten two of the AFC teams with the best record so far this year. Yes we could lose to every one, but we can just as easily beat anyone on that schedule.

    Flawed thinking, respectfully. They scored on their only two possessions in the second half. In both of the possessions they controlled the clock and came away with points. Not a negative that the defense scored two TDs which limited the amount of time the Steelers had the ball. They very likely could have and would have scored more if the Bengals weren't a$$ cheeks.
