Report: OC Matt Canada Will Call Titans Game From Sideline, Not Coaches Box

I was at a Braves game several years ago where an infield fly rule call went against the Braves. Fans spent the next 20 minutes throwing everything under the sun on the field. They threatened to call the game and then it final settled down.

 

I was wrong, and happy to be so

 

I love it. I don't like coaching from the box. Talk to players face to face

It was one of the worst call in sports history....It was just awful and I can't blame the braves fan for this one

 

I went to a Carnegie Tech game back in the black and white tv era and Dole handed out a banana to every person entering the game

I read somewhere that one of the reasons why Canada was on the sidelines was so Mike Tomlin could talk to him.

I don't know how much time Tomlin and Canada spent together on the sidelines Thursday.

 

They talk all game no matter where He's at. Thats why they have the headphones, and mic.

 

Sherman want to see Canada fired too!

 

Is this a thing? Is this where bad coaches go to die?

I just read that the 49ers will be moving their DC out of the booth and onto the sideline.

 

It is funny how important the sideline coaching gig has become.


The Big 10 has banned Jim Harbaugh from coaching on the sideline for the rest of this season.

 

While Coaching from the Sidelines vs Coaching from the Booth may seem comical to some, both have their advantages/disadvantages. Currently speaking though, it appears to be more advantageous to be on the sidelines for their is a more direct and involved method to communicate not just with the players but the entirety of that Coordinators Side. While I also don't subscribe to the idea that Matt Canada, Steve Wilks or others will magically be better being on the field as opposed to the booth, I do understand that having a more involved and direct method to communicate is better than merely talking from a mic.



Both Pittsburghs and San Frans changes in their struggling facets of their game (slightly more so Pittsburghs Offense) is the changes in personnel. Chase Young and Broderick Jones have been superb additions for both the 49ers and Steelers; doubly so in Brodericks case. Expect this to continue moving forward.
