A bit before my time but I'm sure Jeh remembers Rosy Rosewell announcing Pirate games on the wireless with his signature HR mantra. :drinks:

If they want to change rules I’d like to see then eliminate the QB slide along with allowing the QB to sling it out of bounds as long as he is out of the tackle box.

QBs are becoming bigger, faster athletes and I think these rules should be changed.

    No, I don’t hate QBs.

That just won't happen IMO. QB's are 90+% of the game. Without a good one, teams became average. And there's just not enough of them. So, the NFL has to protect them to protect their revenue.

I'm fine with the QB rules as they are actually. If the QB starts to run, he's treated like a running back unless he starts to slide.

Regarding challenges, I'd like to be able to challenge flags and no-calls on pass interference. Pass interference is potentially a huge game-changer. You can have a 70 yard penalty on one play, that depends on whether a ref makes the right judgement call. Give coaches the ability to throw a challenge flag on a PI flag or on a no-call with the same rules as other challenges. You only have a limited number of challenges.

I am pretty sure they tried this a few years back for PI calls.

It is funny Mike Tomlin was on that rules committee, And, then in a game he challenged a PI Call, on the basis that the ball was uncatchable. When the refs came back to say the Challenge failed they would not address the uncatchable part of his challenge. And, I remember thinking, Mike Tomlin made this rule, and it seems like he would know if you could challenge a PI flag based on rather a ball was catchable or not. I believed the NFL changed the rules midway through the season, and that is why Tomlin lost his challenge.
