Detroit Rock City is a damn good song.

 

With all the rules protecting the QBs, maybe they should play "Tiptoe Through the Tulips"!

 

I’m here in a likely minority ready to say goodbye the song also.

I’m from the thrash and hardcore 80’s era of music and have always felt a bit cringy about this songs choice/use since day one. But hey if it worked then I”ll take it. Not a hill I was going to die on.

I don’t hate Styx; they actually have two songs that I like. The lyrics have zero relevance to any kind of hype for the moment, but the music isn’t bad I guess.

I HIGHLY doubt the vast majority of the players like it at all and just go with it. My problem is that I’m such a snob about this that I’m probably going to find myself holding my nose at most choices anyway, so what’s the difference.
