Renegade is kinda sad compared to 15 years ago due to the NFL legislating out the hits, but I guess it is still effective.

Ankle tackles are making it into the highlights these days.

That's because nobody fundamentally tackles anymore going for big shoulder hits so ankle tackles actually are a highlight!! LMAO

Every time I’m in that Stadium and they play that song, 70k fans screaming out the lyrics and waving the terrible towel and watching the players get Pumped up ……

There is just nothing like it!!!!!

Usually you don’t here it from the tv but this time you did and the players reacted!!!!

There is nothing like it. Last I heard it played live was MNF against the bears in 2021. They then proceeded to fumble on the kickoff return

I went with a buddy of mine who is a bears fan. Really nice day weather wise for early november. We went golfing in the morning. Sat next to 2 wasted bears fans who had bottles taped to their legs. Least they shared

My daughter and her husband went to a Steeler themed wedding this summer. She said the coolest part was when the bride came down the aisle they played Renegade instead of a traditional wedding song.

It's almost always played during a commercial break but when the commercial break is over you can still tell it was played by the crowd noise.

Perhaps more appropriately would've been Karen Carpenter singing "We've Only Just Begun"

It also doesn't help that the rise of Fantasy Football have altered both the NFL Owners along with the NFL Competition Committee to see to it that every NFL Game must be a track meet; first to 35 or more... wins! For that matter, the 2023 Miami Dolphins are exactly what both NFL Owners, NFL Fans and the National Media want to see; game in and game out. People like Colin Cowherd will stop at nothing praising teams that have this Warp Speed Scoring initiative at the cost of what makes the game so great in the first place; legalized violence.

Between me and you though, while what I am about to tell you will sound a bit crazy, haven't you noticed how more crazy athletic these Defensive Prospects have been for the past six seasons?! For that matter, it is going to get even crazier. Examples include Isaiah Simmons, Odafe Oweh, Jordan Davis, Penei Sewell, Adetomiwa Adebawore (this guy here), Tariq Woolen, Joey Porter Jr and Julius Brents.... to name a few. This is not just happening by accident either; College's realize that, to compete with these high flying offenses, you will need hyper athletic players; ideally those that are more DPWs (Defensive Personnel Weapons) than anything else.

Even so, unless teams like the Dolphins, Lions, Chiefs, Eagles and 49ers somehow, someway, have off nights.., what they are doing is what the NFL wants; something that makes me disappointed. High octane is all and well but good defensive battles never hurt either.

I don't mind it, but it is a little dated.

I'm in the camp of wanting it to be changed to "Can't be Touched!"

The first time I saw Styx live they opened with it and Tommy Shaw's guitar was wrecklessly loud and I've loved it ever since.
