Trying to remember brutal Steelers hits of this century. Not sure under actual rules which ones would be: legal / illegal?

    Any help would be welcome:

    Ryan Clark vs Willis McGahee
    J Harrison vs McCoy
    J Harrison vs J Cribbs
    Dupree vs Matt Moore
    Ike Taylor vs Pat White
Limas Sweed vs Ravens 35 (name please?)
Garvin over bengals punter K Huber
    Ward vs Ed Reed
    Ward vs Keith Rivers
    Shazier over Bernard
    JuJu vs Burfict

Do you remember any other ones that could be good for debate?

**Some will say protection is first (and this hits shouldn't be allowed) and some others, that football is becoming a soft sport.
I guess, for those of us who grew up playing under 80's - 90's or early XXI century rules, it's hard to determine now what is a legal or illegal hit.

Greg Lloyd v Warren Moon in a snow storm
Norm Johnson v Buffalo Bill KR... not brutal but awesome
Ryan Clark v Wes Welker.. very satisfying
The best is Ward v Rivers

Gary Jones decleating Don Beebe. Would be illegal as hell now, but sure was beautiful at the time.

Rod Woodson had a great pancake hit on Warren Moon back in 1992. Lloyd had many memorable ones, including epic ones on John Stephens in 1990 and one on Stan Humphries too.

Gary Jones had several monster hits, as noted before. Another big one came against Dallas in a Thanksgiving day game.

Go look what Keith Gary did to Ken Anderson in 1983. Nearly twisted his head off. There was a time when Anderson was unable to finish a Steelers game for several years in a row. This isn't one for debate of course. He got fined and penalized but not ejected.

"And that's a good, clean, legitimate shot by Jones."
