Relive the Aggravation and Elation

I forgot how many stupid penalties we made in this game, but did remember how bad against the run we were to a strong and quick RB when he went outside. We have to draft a fast LB who can get to the outside.

 

We have to have size and speed at lb, Fournette made us look silly. Don't be fooled with these so called hybrid
safety's/lb. This is a mismatch that guys like Fournette will win every time. Especially in the second half of games
when these 200 lbers are taking on a 240 rb that will run over them. Oh I forgot also the 300
pd OL they will have to shed to get to the RB. It doesn't work. Like men playing with kids.

 

If they don't sure up the run defense we will see more of the same. An ILB has to be drafted early and I would be on board with a OLB drafted within the first 3 picks. Still waiting for Dupree to take that next step. He might be stepping out the door after this season if their is no improvement or he is niked up again. Big year for Dupree.

 

We ranked 13 in total team penalties last year, carolina and NE ranked 1 and 2 in least penalties......

Steelers needing a fast LB is going to be the new Penguins need a wing for Crosby!! We had one of the best and fastest LBs in Shazier and even at times the defense looked suspect. 3-4 is never going to work in this pass heavy league. We need to just switch to a 4-3 defense.

 

I hate being a conspiracy nut but watch their o-line , Nate Solder holds on more than half the plays and it never gets called, see how good he does with the Giants. I read an article on how little NE gets holding calls from 5 years ago and in the article they Quoted Rex Ryan as saying that he had his o-line hold the defensive unit during practice the week of patriots games so they are used to being held without penalty. Fletcher Cox told the local sports reporter he never played a game that he was held so much in a game that didn't draw a single holding call. He also said on 4 separate plays he was not only held but tackled and still no flag were ever thrown. That was in response to a question posed to him about why the Eagles couldn't get pressure on Brady.

 

and i bet... if you got the stats, on penalties called against the teams opponents combined for 2017, NE would lead the league.
