Looking for 2 tickets to this weekends game and the cheapest I could find are $155 each. I would understand more if it was a division game or we had a winning season. Or maybe I m just a cheap arse. Found 2 tickets in the nose bleed section for $500 each.

RG3 is probably a big reason for it, plus Washington is relatively close, so it's not a difficult task for Skins fans to drive to the game.

I don't know what tickets normally cost, but when I went to a Steelers game, I paid $220 per ticket and I was in the nosebleeds. I was in the highest seats possible, there was nothing but sky behind me.

Not a surprise. Most people always seem to want to charge 2-5 times the ticket value.

I'll bring it up at the next Occupy WS regional meeting as one more thing in life that isn't fair. $155 per ticket regardless of location at Heinz Field is a bargain. BUY! That's only $2.58 per minute of live NFL action! Cheaper than those sex and physic hotlines advertised on late night TV (so I've heard).

I paid $100 per ticket for end zone seats for a pre-season game at Heinz Field and that was 11 years ago! The economy hasn't really affected the price of pro-sports tickets as far as I can tell.

If you seriously are considering going to the game and somewhat local then just go down to the Stadium Sunday morning and wait until about 10 minutes to kickoff. You will find plenty available for face value or even less. A non conference opponent with a high temp of 46 degrees and showers. Heck you might find them for free ! Even the Steelers have some fair weather fans.

I think that the reason it's so expensive is because of the Bumblebee Unis!! You get a football game and some good humor both for one ticket!

usually the visiting team sends back their extras but I talked to the ticket office and they were all sold...could that be making the prices up?

I can get tickets to san diego, bungals, and the brownies for less than $100. Raven tickets are less than $150, which Id rather see anyways. So I dont understand the big deal with the Redskins. And the only reason I wanted to go this weekend was bc me and the wifey are on vacation. Shes the only one in the family who hasnt been to a steeler game. She cant take vacation after Nov 1st.

We're 6 hours away so I would hate to drive that far without tickets. Plus for some reason I dont trust scalpers.

Guess we ll have to wait and try to get Brownie tickets. Was hoping to go before it got too cold. And if we do that game I ll have to buy 4 tickets so the kids can go. One son is a packers fan  ...supposedly but he still wants to go. Wife says he says that to piss me off. :frustrated:

Wow I have to laugh at this because I got shut out of every other game on ticketmaster before the season started except this one. At the beginning of the year everyone passed over this game as an easy win.

I found 2 tickets for the Skins game about 2 hours after they went on sell and every other game was sold out almost immediately. I think I could have bought more too if I had tried.

Looking forward to the game it surprisingly is shaping out to be a really good matchup.

BTW face value for me was $140 per ticket in the nosebleed seats....

I paid $250 for my seat to the Titans game and I was on the 3rd row of the 45 on the Titans side. You need to go to Craigslist. Search under "by owner" and you will find MUCH cheaper seats. I was at Heinz in 09 when we played the Vikes in Brett's only game there and I sat in the Club Seats 26 rows from the field and they were somewhat high but I can't remember exactly how much. It was TOTALLY worth it though! Seems like they were $175 per ticket I think. I bought them from a guy that had been selling tix for like 30 something years and even always had Super Bowl tix too! I kept his number for a while and wound up losing it. I'm really surprised though that you are having to pay that much PER ticket.

This has been a rcent topic of conversation on local radio. Most hosts and callers agree that the prices are being driven up by a desire to see RG3 in person.

I found some on Craigslist for cheaper than that. There are some uppers for 125per ticket. That's not bad. Just go to Craigslist and select "by owner" and look at the tickets. There are some really reasonable seats on there. There's not a bad seat in the house as far as the sidelines are concerned up top.

Its definitely because of RG3....if you can get nosebleed seats, you will be under cover which, considering the forecast, would be great! Im about 2 hours north of Pittsburgh and our forecast is calling for 90% chance of rain :-(

The nfl is pricing fans out of the game. I refuse to pay the prices. The biggest shame is the seat licensing that fans pay just for the right to buy season tickets. One day fans will wake up and take a stand against exorborant ticket prices. When that happens many nfl stadiums will resemble the stands of preseason games.

Attendance is already on the decline, I think Goodell actually came out and said that. Watching the game on TV does have superior views compared to any seat.

Me personally, I like the whole atmosphere of Pittsburgh so going to the actual game is fun too.

Actually it's the value of the dollar has dropped so much that the price of the ticket seems expensive but in all reality reflects the same as what it would have a dozen or so years ago after calculating in the inflation. Face it. The note that you hold with George Washingtons face on it can't even buy you a candy bar in most of America anymore.

As far as fans waking up and taking a stance against exorborant prices I wouldn't hold your breath. If it hasn't happpened yet then I doubt it will happen anytime soon. Have you see the 70+ year old Rolling Stones tickets for their 50th anniversary tour? People over value their entertainment in this country and so long as people are willing to spend a weeks worth of pay for a mere 3 hrs of joy then the price will continue to increase. Now the NFL is promoting the Stones because they know the customer who regularly spends a ton of money on one of their games is also the same person who will drop a boat load of money to see a concert by a bunch of elderly rock musicians.

Yeah and we also live in a country where people fly all over the place and pay up to $100 just to have a guy put their suitcase on a little belt to send it to the plane. I mean if you look at the fees that people pay for these days it is just amazing. But the problem with people that complain about ticket prices is that they go through these web sites. I'm telling you Craigslist is the way to go. I would NEVER buy tix from StubHub because of the fees they put on them. You can get really reasonable seats from Craigslist and use paypal to ensure that you get the real things. It's sad that scalpers have given a dishonest rep to people that are actually honest ya know?
