Recent draft history

Yeah and I'm pretty sure he had to jump through a LOT of hoops to get to play too. I'm pretty sure during his high school days there were a lot of people that thought he shouldn't be allowed to play. Seems like I heard once that he actually does a lot of work trying to help other home schooled kids get to play sports.

 

Several states are considering legislation that would allow home-schooled students to play high school sports.

 

While the federal govt is trying to abolish home schools... We really have gone nuts round these 50 the last couple decades

 

At the risk of derailing the thread and turning this into a political/religious thing Jack, are these states with Tea Party members in the legislature and or GOP members?I'm just asking because my sister home schools her seven children and they had a big push for it from their church. So I've noticed that the evangelical church seems to align their thoughts with many conservative members of the GOP and yes many Tea party members so I can see how legislating high school sports in this way would appeal to their base. Just a curious question on something I have observed no need to go down that path other than to say possibly or I don't know.

On topic I was just reading how Ozzie doesn't think finding a top WR is such a huge priority for the Ravens and points to the success that Pittsburgh has had drafting WR's in the third round and how that has worked out for them. So people are watching what the organization does.

The problem with home schooling is that affairs with the teacher are REALLY awkward!

 

Being the Ravens "GM" for the fantasy draft, I saw the same comments. Thought they came from the owner and him not wanting a WR drafted in the first round, but either way it seems him and Ozzie are on the same page. So I found it weird they seem to be bringing in some first round WRs for visits.

Just doing their due diligence I guess.

To further potentially go way off topic for this post and the board in general: Once you start trying to have home schooled kids in public school sports, better have your vaccines, even though, in theory, their vaccinated kids should already be protected from your unvaccinated kids. The govt's story is obviously bull sh-t.

Going back towards on topic, of course the Ravens watch what the Steelers do; it's their arch enemy div. rival. But Ozzie is kidding himself if he doesn't think they need upgrades at WR. Smith can't play forever.

 

Why should the govt give a rat's behind if people want to homeschool? They want kids in the collective, not to be allowed to develop independent thought. They want all kids shots up with poisons and claim it's necessary for them to "be safe." This country is gone.
