and for the season! I can't wait for Sunday. Ah, haven't been this excited in a long time. Barring injuries there is no excuse not to get #7. Defense looking like it might improve, or show signs of hope. Offense might be better. ARGH!

I am excited for Steeler Football, I haven't formed an opinion on the season yet I just want to see some football and see some of the frame work that Butler?Tomlin are going to be putting in place, i want to see how Williams will look if even for a single series or just four plays and just to have something to talk about other than will they or won't they lol

I'll be excited for the HOF game until about the middle of the second series when it starts to look like what it is. An exhibition game. Glorified scrimmage played by a bunch of guys we will not see in September.

Non the less, I'll use it as an excuse to drink a beer and sit on the screened porch. Life is good.

I had a guy at work come up to me on Monday and go "I'm thinking about going to the game on Sunday." I said really you plan on going to Ohio do you? He was like no it's in the Cities isn't it, I mean the vikings are playing. I had to break it to him that its the HOF game and its being played in Canton. anyway I got a pop bet on it with one the UPS guys that work at the company so I hope the 3rd string and scrubs have a good showing

Ya know, I'm actually kinda excited about it too, which makes me happy because it gives me hope that my enthusiasm for Pro football is coming back a little at a time.

And as far as the backups and rookies coming into the game in the 2nd half, to me that's by far the most interesting part of these exhibition games. You know the starters are only in there to work on a few things and are all going at about 75% effort. When the young guys come in they are playing for their lives and trying to make the team. It also gives a first look at the rookies in live action.

I don't think we'll see too much of the new-look defense... but it's still good to see some steeler football.

Is it Sunday yet? having lived directly behind Jr Seau for 3.5 years it will be cool to see him get in.
I remember after we beat the chargers when he played for the Pats i went and sat on his patio and induldged in some of cali's finest.
Used to say hi in passing by him but Never asked him for an autograph because he wasnt a Steeler.

I have always gotten excited about Steelers games on TV, regular season or preseason. Heck, I even watched the replacement player games in the '87.

I too am ready for some Black & Gold based on Steelers.com we should see alot of the # 3 . Heard Jones was making some noise in camp this week, they need to keep him on the grass as much as possible this pre. It's make or break his stay and im thinking Grad's injury may work in Jones favor, timing is everything.

Midwestern slang for soda or cola however if you ask a Midwesterner about it they will claim to be calling it by its correct name and all yinz have it wrong. I have successfully infiltrated their culture and have been accepted into the tribe although their ritual of calling sloppy Joe's BBQ has almost forced me to give myself away. Lol

Question about the countdown clock... It looks like it has the game starting at 4 PM Eastern? Isn't it 8 PM Eastern?

Yeah, that's mostly what I'll be excited for. It will be nice to see the Steelers (and some that won't really be Steelers) on the field, but it's always a nice excuse to be able to just sit and enjoy not having to do anything else.

I really miss living in Canton this time of year. Hall of Fame week was always an absolute blast.

Winner-winner Chicken Dinner!!! :) I agree 100 % Just get through the game intact and healthy. And hopefully have Camp players perform well. Our CORE players should not even see the field this early on.

I love this story, mainly because I just have this image of you sitting there, drinking, and saying: "You know, Junior - can I call you Junior? - I would ask for our autograph, if only you played for a decent team..."

Kind of like a friend of mine who met LL Cool J. He asked LL if he could get a picture. Sure, says LL. So the guy hands LL his camera and poses, and LL has to take a picture of him... Looking back on it my friend was being a bit of a dick, but it amused me all the same.

I love LL Cool J. Never been into his music, but everything I see and hear about him is awesome.
