It's going to be brutally cold. No wonder there's fear of a blackout.

Weather channel has the high for Sunday at -3. Im sure that will occur long before kick off so it could be double digits negative by the end of the game.

This is exactly what I hope temperature is for the Super Bowl this year. And also with high winds and blowing snow. I hope its a complete disaster.

I've actually always wanted to see a Super Bowl played in the snow. However, I'm sure for the people sitting out there it's probably not as fun as it is on tv. I would give anything to sit through a snow storm to watch a game though. I've always wanted it to be snowing when I was in Pittsburgh. We hardly get much snow here and I really like it and I especially like to watch football be played in it.

Thats fine for any other game but the Super Bowl.
Weather should not be a factor in the most important game of the year and the league should do all that it can to reduce the chances of that happening.

I whole heartedly disagree. They have taken the game to a level that is completely away from it's roots.

Games in the snow and the weather are some of the best. We used to play Turkey day games back when I was a kid. 2 neighborhood teams and the weather is usually a factor. They were very memorable.

That is the way that it originated but now it is nothing but a watered down, penalty prevailing, fine oriented, fantasy football shell of itself.

If it snows then it makes for all the better of the game.

It's supposed to snow 5 inches during the Bengals game and I honestly believe that it will be more beneficial to the Chargers. The team that can ground and pound more will probably win.

Got to disagree with you. Yes, it's fun to play those games in the snow as a kid, but we're talking about a billion dollar sport and normal Joes shelling out a big percentage of income just for a chance to see their team in the big game. Who wants to crank out $1500-$2500 per ticket to sit outside in a snowstorm freezing your ass off with the possibility that you may or may not be able to see the action on the field? I'll sit at home and enjoy the crap out of a game like that, but if they keep showing half-filled stadiums, how long until it starts showing in the TV market?

I don't foresee normal Joes shelling out $1,500-$2,500 for anything other than possibly a down payment for a car.

There is no denying that it is ridiculously overpriced and most people don't want to freeze the asses off but I could watch a game in foul weather anytime over sunny and 85.

It'll be entertaining nonetheless watching all the higher class clueless football fans freezing out there. If it gets too cold it will be a half empty stadium.

Average Joes would probably stay to the end if they could afford to get in.

I never understood where this "Average Joe's vs Upper Class" comparison comes from. They're all the same. Average Joe's are no different than the higher class when it comes to going to the game. Look at the Steelers/Bengals game a few weeks ago. Perfect opportunity for an Average Joe to go to a game on the cheap as there were tickets on Stub Hub a few days before the game going for $40 and less and still 21,000 didn't show up.

It was a bad team in a meaningless game? How about Green Bay this weekend? Playoff game against the 49ers and it was in jeopardy of being a black out until the evil corporations stepped in and bought the remaining tickets.

49ers Anthony Davis called Green Bay a "s---hole" on Twitter last night. Not making any new friends there it seems.
