He could play until he's 40 or so, with a good O-line, but he probably won't last as long as Brady.

2 years tops, he has taken a ton of hard hits over his career and I think that has taken a toll on him. I mean it wasn't long ago he was worried enough about his heath and family to consider retirement right?????

    Two observations.

    Brady will retire before Ben.

It Popcorn cannot get this team contending for a shot at the SB (making the playoffs), then I think Ben retires in the next 3 years.

Hoping Ben retires next year after a surprising SB win.

Who knows. He could be gone after this year if its a disaster He could be here until coaching change. He could he here longer if there is a coaching change. Could be as long as his line stays together. He could get transferred to Oakland be with his buddy. Realistically, IMO. I give him maybe 2 years but wouldn't be surprised if this becomes his last year.

Probably two or three. The excellent o-line helps!

As long as Ben maintains his incredible physique I'd say another half decade at least

I say 3-5 with new rules in place. QBs are protected by the refs.

The skins lost both their QBs to broken legs in 2018 and QBs like goroppolo was lost lost for the season last year and ben had a rib injury in the raider game last year as well there was a rash of QB injuries in 2017 and 2018, it only takes a fluke play to end a season for any QB in this league ..........

That is always a risk, perhaps a little moreso due to his age.

Maybe if he took some of the mass from his face and added it to his arms he'd look a little more proportioned

True, but Steelers have a better OL than Redskins and 49ers.

I think he was more on top of his game physically last year than I’d seen him in a long time. He has a good 2-3 years left if he takes the same offseason approach to conditioning.

There are a lot of variables to consider so it’s very difficult to say how long he can go on. With a 2018 level O-Line and avoiding serious injury he could play for several years at a high level. Munchak is gone so it will be interesting to see what effect that has. If he starts getting battered every game then surely he will begin to consider retiring.

I would imagine he and his family are set for life at this stage so in a bad situation in would be an easy decision. Im very positive about the Steelers 2019 prospects though. They need at least one if not two impact players in the draft but it warms my heart to see the various analysts count them out now AB and Bell are gone. It could be the catalyst they need.
