Re-Signings.

So far Nix got a one year deal and Boswell just tweeted out see you in Latrobe so it looks like he signed as well.

Very Nice!!! Up and down year for the Boz, but mostly up imo. I think that will make him a better kicker going forward though.

As of the other day they had signed I think 8 futures contracts and of course Karlos Williams was one of them. Any more news on these?

 

Yes that sounded a little more harsh than I wanted. 84% on FGs and 100% on EPs is very solid. He had some trouble on KOs going out of bounds a couple times and the horrid onside attempt but nothing you'd consider a trend. All aberrations that he will look out for next year and beyond.

 

We were lucky to get Boz how we did. What did he do, come in mid season or near it and we never looked back or complained that he was a liability. The guy is solid as someone stated and I'm very confident in him. I'm not sure Shuisham could have made all the field goals Boz completed during that Chiefs game.

 

Nix is a good signing, but he's stealing money. They just don't use the FB enough.

 

Safety Jordan Dangerfield was re-signed yesterday

Maybe its me, but I dont see what Dangerfield and Touissant bring to the table. They are not good and probably wouldnt be taken if we left them out on the curb with a "free" sign posted in in front of them.

 

Danger field is a great special teamer and a solid backup.

 

They are in system guys with known quantities and they will always look at that first before they gamble on unknown quantity. This is why most likely Jarvis, Landry and Wheaton will all be extended a reasonable offer.

 

Nix makes less than Greg Warren, and plays more snaps per game.

It's not stealing money, it's a required utility role.

 

Great signing! I'm so glad they got it done quickly because I'm sure the line of suitors was around the block. He really took our STs to new heights this year....not to mention how effective he was as our 3rd string RB. Not having him in our last two games returning kicks almost cost us the win against KC and finally caught up to us against NE. I'm so glad our staff is taking the necessary steps to secure a SB victory next season....excuse me while I go and rinse the throw up in my mouth.
