See this was what I was getting at. Already Arkansas best, and I believe best Wr in the nation will not play.
I'm sure he will not be the last for either team.
These bowl games outside of the playoffs are a joke. IMO

Just am starting to realize this. What a time to jump on Pitt's bandwagon. I was pumped for Peach Bowl but now Pickett might not play. I know the almighty dollar is a big part of it but it disgust me. I feel for the teammates, these guys would love to win a Bowl game.

    Kind of sad.

It's a business decision. I'm not mad at any kid opting out. Am I bummed, yes for sure. But I'm not going to go on vulgar laced rants on Twitter and Facebook like some people are. Pickett doesn't owe me anything as a fan. He won the most games for Pitt since Marino and its first sole conference championship.

Yes it's a business decision that if I was in the same situation I would do. No Hate Here. It just makes the Bowls outside of the playoffs meaningless.....since those are the only Bowls everyone that can plays in.

Frankly, the original intention of bowls was to reward teams for a good season. They really weren't supposed to mean anything. Somehow from about 2000-2015 it became a time to pump your conference chest event. Probably fan forum fodder.

Not 2 me they haven't. It's just not as fun when top players are out , and not for injuries

This is probably the best argument of all for having a 16 team playoff

Hmmm. I think 16 is 2 much. 8-10 would be ideal 2 Me, but Yes we definitely need more.

Penn State will be without five starters on defense and their best weapon on offense. It could be ugly to watch.

Razorbacks are without the Best Wr coming out,and one of their best D players. These Bowls mean nothing anyway.

Not good on either trick play. But competitive half despite the mistakes on both sides.

I was getting worried. Even though these bowl games mean nothing with most teams having so many players opting out. If both teams had been at full strength.. may have been a different game, and even more entertaining.

Congrats to your team!!!!! Don't follow it but where I live the majority of NCAA fans are Penn State fans. Only reason I knew about it was the bitching and moaning in golf club house.

Exactly the same here. If He was My Son ....I don't think I would have let Him Play, or at least I would have done My best 2 stop Him from playing.

I admire his heart and respect for his teammates despite the money it could have cost him. I think he dodged the bullet to not affect his draft position, maybe it helps him in some people eyes in the intangibles category.
