according to Ike Hillard the receivers coach its a division of labor thing. When Juju got hurt they played Ray Ray instead of Washington because Ray Ray had taken snaps behind Juju while Washington was taking snaps behind Chase and\or DJ. This is why McCloud is in there more.

I don't think Ray Ray stinks. He's not Jerry Rice but serviceable. Good speed and moves and doesn't drop a ton of passes.

Guy works hard, doesn’t fumble and does what he’s told. Put him with another coaching staff/system he’d surprise a lot of people.

That was a terrible call by Canada against the Titans, on 3rd down they threw a fade pass to Ray Ray, that play had no chance .

They’ve had plead time to change that division of labor.

In defense, I’ll add that Washington hasn’t done anything with the opportunity.

How is it possible that Anthony Miller has not been brought in off the PS?

Is he even still on the PS? Same can be said about Simms.

Both of those guys are young, and have had a fair amount of success other places. It is hard to believe those two are wasting away on the PS while Claypool is getting benched weekly.

Yes they have had time to change the question becomes that after admitting it are they going to change it? Doesn't look that way.

What have you seen out Washington that makes you think he is deserving of the snaps?

He's in his 4th year, at some point you got to separate yourself from the rest of the pack if your going to be a really good player.

He has average speed, runs average routes, has decent enough hands. So you get basically get average.

Washington is Markus Wheaton, and Sammie Coates. Not like total crap busts, but just never could kick it up to a good to great player level. He may be a tick above those guys but, not much.

Best thing about Washington is that he's a high character guy, and I think he tries hard. Wish we could just get him into Claypool's body. Then you would really have something.

Not that Rae Rae is amazing, but Rae Rae has the speed factor. for Go, Post, and Flag routes.

McCloud is like the Anthony McFarland of wide receivers. He's shifty and bounces around a lot without accomplishing much. I like that Washington can make the contested catch. I think that's important. By no means am I saying or thinking Washington is a pro bowler. I've just seen enough from McCloud and I think we've seen his ceiling already.

Wasn't it Washington that fumbled the ball last Week and a penalty saved us???

Yes. He was trying for more yardage and out the ball comes. The effort was in the right place but lock that ball up and get down. Some teams just look for the strip every time. Ravens will swarm a ball carrier and rip the ball out.
