I'm telling you if they put as much effort into Ray Ray as they do DJ. All he needs to do is work on his route running and he could be our X.

Ray Ray is too good to be true. Buffalo fans couldn’t wait to get rid, yet he come to Pittsburgh and plays like this?

I’m waiting for something to go wrong, but so far so good. He looks great

So know body is worrying about Juju's production? Are opposing defenses so enamored with his play that they have to take him out of the game? All the while Claypool is surpassing as a rookie.

I really thought that Dionte Johnson had a chance to compete for the #1. His concussion situation has set his contributions back. He will be back and then everyone will be all TD Johnson. Rack it.

McCloud is a jack rabbit. A nice weapon to have.

So far, it looks like the Steelers got what they thought they were getting years back with Dri Archer, who had blazing speed that somehow did not translate to yardage. With McCloud, it does. If the dude has another good game or two, we should give him a nickname. Homunculustron?

Both of you make very valid points. Can't argue with anything either of you have said. But right now, this is how I feel. I used some stats to back up my opinion, but it is simply a feeling I have about the kid. I've given far less productive players chances, so it's unfair for me to write him off. Like I said, I hope he makes me eat my words.

PWP if that is all they can throw Layne and Sutton out there for that. Be the deepest guy and throw your body at anyone who gets past their man.

You might be right, but I think if DJ can clean up the mental mistakes and avoid the big collisions he will become a top receiver in the league. The talent is there.

I think Ray Ray was claimed off waivers where Chase although great was a high draft choice and has been targeted
    way more than Ray Ray.

Ok. I will say that it is very impressive that McCloud was a 6th round draft pick who has been waived 3 times and the Steelers picked him up and seem to be having success with his punt returning duties which we haven't seen since the AB punt return days.

Chase Claypool, in his rookie season has 6 TD's in his first 5 games as a rookie.

He's a little Steelers history of impressive players for the Steelers as rookies.

    Hine Ward 0 TD's as a rookie.
    Lynn Swann 2 TD's as a rookie.
John Stallworth 1 TD as a rookie.
    Antonio Brown 0 TD's as a rookie.
    Santonio Holmes 2 TD's as a rookie.
    Plaxico Burress 0 TD's as a rookie.

All of those WR's of the past for the Steelers still didn't have as many TD's in their entire rookie seasons as Chase Claypool has had in his very first 5 games as an NFL player.

Ray Ray McCloud in 3 seasons has yet to see the end zone as a WR, a Punt Returner or a Kick Off Returner. He has 2 receptions as a Steeler for 63 yards which were 50 yards and 13 yards respectively giving him an impressive 31.5 yard average.

Yes, as I stated before, I like him as a punt return specialist after putrid years of watching players after AB but he still does not hold a candle to Chase Claypool no matter how you slice it.

I met Louis lipps just after his career ended, he is a very down to earth guy. Was not egotistical as other players
    I have spoken too.
