A few thoughts, as I am (no joke) actually interested in watching Hawaii Five-O:

    - this is the least good of all five of these Flacco/Harbaugh Ravens playoff teams, and yet they are the one in the Super Bowl.

    - as I posted earlier in the week, I thought the Ravens would win this time. This is a desperate team that knows their championship window is closing. That's why Suggs and Lewis pushed themselves to come back from injury.

    - the Patriots are again tarnished by an upset playoff loss. Since the end of their 16-0 season, they have been upset in 2 Super Bowls, and upset 3 times at home in the playoffs. This is a serious blow to that franchise, whose overconfidence was visible. (I live in New England, where trust me, not everyone is a Patriots fan- not at all- and all my Pats fan friends had this one in the bag, as did the media).

    - still think the Ravens lose the Super Bowl. I felt the Niners were the best all around team in the league in the beginning of the year, and they look like it at the end of the year.

    - Flacco will get his $17 million after this season, and that contract will hamper the Ravens for years.

    - I believe Ryan Clark will get to be in the Pro Bowl now.

Yeah but Flacco doesn't deserve to be in Trent Dilfer's class.

Yeah it's great to see that physical teams still have a place in today's NFL. I'm tired of these gimmicky teams. It's still good to see that the game is made for those who hit the hardest. Oh and this just in Belicheat turns down a interview . What a surprise sore- loser.

Hey it's everyone's favorite troll!!! I figured you were off telling someone you are glad their family member died or something. Or maybe you just came over to police the board. If you look back in this thread you will see that Myron and myself got a little off topic so I would like to personally apologize to you. Congrats on your REAL favorite team making it to the Super Bowl btw.

No, I missed it! I saw that Belichick declined interview after the game. What was the gist?

This not an exact quote....but something to the effect of he's tired of ol' Bill being a cry baby and always declining interviews/etc when they loose (he ALWAYS does that when they loose he said) that they cant win everything and to grow up and be a professional about things and so on. Something along those lines.

It was at the end of the show on TV...within a couple minutes of it going off the air.

Oh yeah he really did let him have it. He said he's a "poor sport" and he does it every time they lose and he makes it "hard for people to like the Pats" and said it's "unacceptable" because he didn't give an interview. So I guess since they sent out McCorty that he's the new face of the franchise? LOL.

I'll tell you what this game proved to me (and what it better prove to the Steelers): having big, physical WRs is a significant advantage. Boldin and Smith just out-muscled their defenders all game long.

Yeah I've thought for a while it'd be nice to have one guy like that (besides Heath).

Yeah and also he said that Cowher DID always show grace in defeat so at least there was ONE good thing going for the Steelers today. I know I'm grasping at straws but still. I GOTTA do something.

Yeah and the Pats don't have a guy that can really get deep and provide a true threat down the sidelines. Everything seems to come in the middle of the field. They just don't have the guy to stretch the field. Yet they still score 100 more points than any team in the league. That's incredible. Their D is horrible though.
