This is one of the most severe cases of wrong thinking that I've ever encountered. So you really believe that without Wallace around Ben would no longer want to constantly throw deep? Wow!

 

No I wasn't saying Hines was a one trick pony, not in the least. Just used Hines as an example of someone that knew how to get open. In my post, I was pointing out the fact that there a lot of good receivers who only do one thing on the field but do it well. I think Wallace is, or at the least can be, more than a one trick pony, however, you have to admit that his speed is a good trick.

 

Gotcha. Didnt think you were but it gave me good reason to post some great videos of him.

Wallace is great asset and no doubt a weapon but he has a long way to go to fill those shoes.

 

I think no one is irreplaceable. I'm not a hugh Wallace fan but I'm not a "player" fan particularly. I'm a pittsburgh steelers fan. The Team is more important than any one person. We've lost so many good players through free agency and being release over the years and we always restock and always in contention.

I was prepared to see Ben go after his episodes with the law. Santonio Holmes left and everyone thought we would fall apart. Buress left, Woodson left, Greg Lloyd, Kevin Greene, Hope, Washington (our other speed guy) and we still make it to playoffs year after year and field a good team.

I've been a steelers fan for over 30 years and NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE TEAM!
