He fumbled. No excuses. He can live his life in Steelers exile with NOD as far as I'm concerned.

That play helps define him as a player. His excuses define him as a person.

I'm sorry but the fumble killed momentum it wasn't the turning point of the game. Ben and BA set the tone for that game thinking the were smarter than the Packers and would throw into the greatest strength of the Packer's defense, it's secondary. It's easy to blame Mendenhall and the fumble but harder to look critically at a very bad game plan from the outset.

They were kind of ripping them in the passing game until Sanders went down. Brown wasn't really to that level. That bad INT in the redzone by Ben though...

Umm strip sack is different than being a little weak boy too getting bumped in the stomach and coughing up the ball.

Obviously it's haunting him. Especially when it's the first thing that people remember.

He wasn't the only one to blame for the loss but it was a killer fumble.

I don't know which Super Bowl was more disappointing..... SBXXX or SBXLV.

I don't think there was any shame in losing to the Packers

Exact opposite for me. SBXLV was more disappointing.

Looking back, that 95 team had to play a Cowboys team, that would rank in the top 5 NFL teams ever assembled. The Steelers would have shocked the world had they won XXX.

XLV was a different story. The Steelers were the team looking to cement their place in history as a dynasty. The Packers were Super Bowl newcomers. I would say the talent was about even.

XLV could have gone either way, but for me personally, I expected the Steelers to win. If we are being honest about XXX, I think we all knew that was going to be an extremely tough game to win.

I may have called him every curse word ever invented when that happened and now I'm glad I did.

Agree.... Cowboys were stacked with talent. The Steelers were a good team in '95... but nowhere near the Cowboys or even the 49ers or Packers at the time. During the mid 90's.... there were 3 dominant NFC teams.... and then there was everybody else.

I don't know if I'd call Him a looser, but I definitely know He could have held onto the ball. Was there others at fault for that play yes, but He still could hung on 2 it.
This is the same Guy that fumbled running down the sidelines, and nobody touched him....Hell nobody was within 7- 10 yards of Him. LoL

Yeah the Cowboys just wore down the Steelers Defense. Their O-Line was one of the greatest of all time.

That video though...his Johnson just stood there. He gets a piece of him and that's not a fumble. At worse a loss yards.

And he said that it was wrong for Obama to take out Bin Laden. He said no one heard Bin Laden's side of the story!

Yup, not only did he miss his assignment but then had no clue the ball was even out. He deserves the most blame.

Funny time for all this to get raised again.

I think Johnson and Legursky were more to blame on that play, but Steelers playing like **** all game made it a killer fumble.

When I was a 16 year old idiot I went up to the local park and did two donuts in a 79 Oldsmobile Station wagon with a 454 cu in engine in 8 inches of snow. I guess I should have told my dad right before he whooped me with that belt that it wasn't my fault that the parking lot had 6 inch curbs that broke both axles and bent the frame totaling said car.

When did everything become "Not my fault"? :bscow:

Does nobody take responsibility these days?

Interesting when we had the weaker team our head coach still gave us a great chance (SB XXX). Then when we had an even matchup or slightly better team we got out played (SB XLV). hmmm
