that is fine in camp if those are your starting 5 but when it happens after camp and during the season where you are moving guys into different places and next to different players there just isn't the reps to do this during the week while trying to put a game plan in. the defense is going to game plan to confuse these young linemen every week. what one team does and you try to adjust, the next one will show them something different.

this year if they continue to play together and have that experience together they should benefit greatly from it. a big reason why i'd like them to move on from seumalo and put in a guy that will be here past one more year. maybe scharping could fit that bill. maybe nester. maybe smith. all are young enough to build with along with our other newbies.

Regular Season and Postseason Practices. During the regular season, padded practices for all players shall be limited to a total of fourteen, eleven of which must be held during the first eleven weeks of the regular season, and three of which must be held during the remaining six weeks of the regular season.

Fourteen padded practices over a 17 week schedule. That is in the CBA. How is an OL with rookies and injuries supposed to gel into a productive unit?
