Huh? The conversation started with the collapse at the end of the season. I was pointing out they were doing well. Until they weren't.

Yep. The OL was playing fairly well. Until they were not. That rookie wall is real and you see it happen every year.

T J Watt totally crashed and burned at the end of his rookie season

That was a major part of the playoff loss to the Jags

He was physically unable to keep containment on 3rd and long turning them into 1st and 10’s

Was it though. I was under impressed with Seamalu but he was coming off injury. I love Frazier. I thought McCormick had his moments but he needs development which is to be expected. I was surprised by Moore at the beginning the year then he regressed. Broderick Jones was disappointing. I really hope he gets it together. All of his faults are supposedly technical which tells me its either coaching or he is lazy and uncommitted.

They have a lot of talent but the play calling is terrible.

they were not going to get too elaborate with the young line they had last year. fans expect them to play like all-pros right out of the gate and be able to do complex things offensively during the season. not going to happen. especially during the season. you have limited time to put in a game plan at that point and then throw in guys that were not supposed to be playing yet and it hinders the best of plans.

i don't think seumalo was right the whole year after his injury. if daniels and seumalo didn't get hurt this would have looked quite different.

it's pretty easy to plan with a veteran defense to confuse these young linemen on any given play during that part of the season. now add the rookie wall and we get what we saw.

Your explanation doesn’t explain Broderick Jone’s regression or Dan Moore Jr.

One very big issue with putting an OLine together is the lack of live practices. You are only allowed so many full speed, padded, live action practices. It doesn't even add up to one per week. OLines need snaps together to gel. That also includes calling protections, blitz pickups, motions and zones. We were not expected to be a top OLine last season. I think they did better than expected for most of the season.

ok that was last year who the h8ll cares. moore is gone. fautanu got hurt. again 4 injuries on the starting o-line. herbig, fautanu, daniels seumalo. not too many teams overcome that very well. you can b*itch and moan about last year all you want but it won't change it.

Not really bitc’ing and moaning. Stating facts. Lack of live practices is no excuse. How come teams like Ohilly and KC or tge Ravens lose Olineman and plug and play and still do well? They gave the same amount of practices as we do.

yes the injuries hurt but again you still aren’t explaining our OT’s lack of development. Yes it was last year but that’s all we have to go by at this point.

Broderick didn’t regress but he certainly didn’t progress

Somewhere it was posted he isn’t too bright

Honestly if he regresses this year, I would honestly look at moving him to guard. Hopefully they pick up a developmental LT in the draft. The guy that has the best upside and they should consider to solidify the LT position is Darnell Washington. Its not perfect but it eliminates us continually drafting OT’s and allows us to use that draft capital to fill other holes.

none of those teams lost as many as we did. when you have rookies behind them it makes a difference as well. we drafted them last year not to start in place of the vets immediately. moore did develop from his first year. jones started playing a little better as the year went on. you can't blame the o-line coach for the picks that the head coach and front office make. he can do what he can but you can't fix dumb. jones may not have even been starting if it wasn't for fautanu getting hurt if you remember back. you can keep going on and on but there are reasons for everything you are complaining about that didn't happen to those other teams.

KC lost a super bowl because of a vet offensive tackle that didn't play good enough. they will replace him. jones was supposed to be learning to take over the left tackle spot but got thrown back into starting at RT again.

as for moore, he played well above his draft status. starting at LT for 4 straight years. now getting a big raise and starting for another team. he was a 4th rounder and not at the top of the 4th round. pretty good really. drafting is a crap shoot. there are no guarantees.

With players like Metcalf and Pickens you have to get them the ball.

So you better be including opening it up a bit to let them make plays.

I am over the 3 down runs conservative bs. Open this game up.

Of course i realize you need a QB that can move the ball.

It's a damn ln shame you have this talent at WR and TE and we still don't have a QB greater than Rudolph. No offense Mason. Maybe prove me wrong.

Until then I'm still waiting on some Khan magic.

If they can shore up Oline issues, run the ball with a modicum of success to open up the passing, and get the ball into the ha as of these WR threats this could be a fun offense to watch.
