Man of Steel wasn't a great movie. But it had promise. Caville was good as Superman. The story could have used a touch of restraint. But visually it was good. And we got some fine performances out of the supporting actors. So when they first teased that Batman would show up in the sequel, I was enthusiastic.

Then they cast Ben Affleck as Batman.

Alright. Horrible choice. But I'll roll with the punches.

Then they cast an anorexic Barbie Doll who couldn't gather enough strength to fight her way out of a wet AND pre-torn paper bag as Wonder Woman. Huh?!?! This isn't looking so good.

And now they cast Lex Luthor.

Playing the role of Lex Luthor will be... <drum roll>

    Jesse Eisenberg?!?!?!?!

    I'm out.

Seriously. Whoever is in charge of this movie, just quit and commit sepaku.

Nothing against any of those actors. They can deliver good performances. But each and every one is a bad choice at BEST (Affleck), to a "WTF are you thinking???" at worst (Gal Gordot as WW). Jesse Eisenberg is a decent guy. I enjoyed Zombieland and he was effective as Zuckerberg. But Zuckerberg =/=! Lex Luthor!

What's next? Who else can they horribly get wrong? Jonah Hill as the Flash? Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern? Hey, wait...

I know dude. I'm a die hard Batman fan and it's just evil that they casted Affleck to play him. Also the fact that they cast that kid to play Lex Luthor is just ridiculous. As a comic collector, I just don't even watch the comic book movies anymore because they are just too much "movie" and not enough "comic book". I mean for the movies they literally change the RACE of characters! Why in the crap did they feel the need to let Michael Clarke Duncan play Kingpin??? That's just dumb. The one thing about the new Batman vs Superman movie though is that it's impossible for it to be worse than the Joel Schumacher movies. I mean George Clooney literally apologized to Batman fans for that crap! Also Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool and they thought it would be cool to take a character that is knows as "the merc with a mouth" and then not let him talk! Yeah.... that's really cool.... sigh....

Mark Hamill is the greatest Joker of all time and it's not even close. Jack LOOKED like him but as far as capturing the essence of what he actually is in the comics he was way off. He was more in line with the Adam West Batman series. The way Heath Ledger played him was way closer to the comics and the modern interpretation of the Joker but he didn't nail the voice of the Joker the way Hamill did.
