Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater knocked out of the game by the Rams. Rams player swears it wasn't his intent to injure but when he "launched" he didn't know know Bridgwater was going to slide. The replay I saw he had to be stupid to not know. Zimmer is pissed and thinks Greg Williams is up to his old tricks. That launch thing should be enough to fine this guy and have Goodell issue a warning.

Zimmer said he would have fought Fisher today if he'd seen him on the street. The dude that made the hit said he grew up with Bridgewater and wouldn't have purposely hurt him for any reason.

I'd believe that except for I saw the play and I'm sorry but the only reason for doing what Joyner did was to knock a guy out period.

I haven't seen the play so I'm in no way saying you're wrong, but one thing us fans always forget is were seeing the play in slow motion. We have so much time to break down a play. The guys on the field are making split second decisions while running towards each other at a combined speed of 30+ mph.

    EDIT

Just watched it. It's definitely an intentional hit and illegal. I'm always hesitant to say there was an intent to injure though, because I truly believe most players would never intentionally injure another player. I do think he knew Teddy was going to slide and he adjusted his contact area in order to make sure he got a piece of Teddy. Dirty? Sure. Actual intent to injure? I don't know. I just think it was more of a reaction and a bad decision made in a hurry rather than an intent to injure

I can't blame Zimmer for being mad in that situation.

It was dirty, it was intentional and Gregg Williams is the DC.

    Hmmm.
