The Rams placed the franchise tag on him at around 16 million, now there are reports they are shopping him for a trade. The Steelers should look into it, maybe for Sammie Coates and a third round pick? You would then sign him longterm to lower his cap hit.

The Rams will not take anything less than a 1st round pick for Trumaine Johnson, since they traded this year's pick for Goff. The Rams do need a WR, but why would they want Coates, when there are a number of free agents out there.

This is why I think KC has messed up at the DB position..We have been on the board very close to when these guys got picked and we really made no efforts to get them...The market for a CB after he plays well is huge we should have been moving up and getting these top DB'S for the past 5 or so years or moving back ..Who did we get that year in the 2nd. and 3rd. round ?

We just started drafting DBs high last year, in 2012 we had 9 picks and only got two good players out of that draft in my opinion, decastro at 1 and beachum at 7...

    The Steelers’ 2012 draftees include offensive guard David DeCastro[IMG] (1st round; 24thoverall), offensive tackle Mike Adams[IMG] (2nd; 56th), linebacker Sean Spence[IMG] (3rd; 86th), defensive tackle Alameda Ta’amu (4th; 109th), running back Chris Rainey[IMG] (5th, 159th), wide receiver Toney Clemons[IMG] (7th a; 231st), tight end David Paulson[IMG] (7th b; 240th), cornerback Terrence Frederick[IMG] (7th c; 246th) and offensive guard Kelvin Beachum[IMG] (7thd; 248th).

    Mike Adams
    Sean Spence

This was the period when we were rebuilding the o-line. We had Cortez Allen, Keenan Lewis, Curtis Brown and Ike Taylor at CB.

Make of that what you will.

Ah, Diamond beat me to it.

Because Coates is cheap compared to the FA WRs, he's still on his rookie contract. I don't think any team will give up a 1st round pick for Johnson.
