Probably just a ploy to miss a few long, hot days of camp. ;)

Ooops, Ben might start talking retirement again if his Oline has any more injuries, he said the main reason he was playing another year was because of his strong Oline protection....

This isn't like a real game. Guys get carted off all the time in practices. No reason not to and sometimes they are further away from the facilities.

Says he is out 4 weeks. Might be ready for week 1. If BJ looks good might as well take the time to make sure it’s fully healed

Mike Munchak is arguably the best offensive line coach in the game. Please try to put a little more thought into things before you post.

It sounds like Foster will be ready by Week 2, but they should still see if they can sign a veteran backup just in case.

I dunno, I’d be fine with Finney for a game or two.

Not sure what the depth is like behind him, though, which would be a different reason for looking at who’s available out there.

That is what I was thinking of, somebody who would be behind DeCastro, Foster and Finney on the depth chart.

Off season shoulder surgery and now the knee. Ramon isn't young anymore and has a lot of miles on him. Feiler is the main backup with chuks at tackle. I think a center capable guy could be needed. Patrick Morris is the only other center. I haven't heard if Parker Collins knee was OK or not. We do have Jake Rodgers at tackle and feiler. Still quite thin especially without Collins.

Finney is the backup center, though they could definitely use another interior lineman.

Yes but as we have seen the last two years that 3rd center has come into play. Maybe feiler takes the guard role and Finney remains the backup. Feilers development will be crucial in this camp.

Injuries happen. Finney will be fine. Foster will be back since reports are not season ending.

He has 2 or 3 years left, lineman play longer than most other positions, getting his leg rolled up, isnt his body breaking down, he is starting his 10th season as a steeler, not bad for a undrafted player and pouncey by far has been injured more than foster........

I'm honestly not sure but I've seen it quoted a lot but reliable sources.

True, but this was a fairly significant injury, I guess he shrieked like someone was killing him, good news it won't require surgery and he should be back on the field in 6 weeks. :drinks:

I hope it won't be for the Steelers, unless it is for the hometown discount.
