My dad is 88 and a Steelers fan all his life- season ticket holder through the 40s, 50s, and 60s. I sure hope we don't go through that kind of drought, though because it is in my DNA, I will be fan.

My fear is that the coaching staff is actually doing a good job, we just have less talented and dumber players than we are used to. But perhaps we have less talented and dumber coaches, too.

I hope the front office has learned that giving big contracts to a few players and league minimum for others is not a good long-term recipe. We just don't have the $$$ to have enough basic talent across the board. This is becoming a rookie league, because they are cheap. Gotta find stars and playmakers in the draft and develop them quick.

Why does Brown fall down so easily? Was he burned a few times fumbling when he tried to fight for yardage, and now he is content with giving himself up? He looked like a quarterback out there today, sliding or falling after the catch. I wonder if that is what he has been coached to do.

Did I hear correctly on the broadcast today that the Steelers were #1 in kickoff coverage before today's game? Yikes.

Why doesn't someone remind Ben when he absolutely cannot give up a sack, and has to throw it away? I recall lots of times we have been in FG range, and then not after a sack, and today was another example. He may not have had time, but after all these years you think he could read things a bit better, or someone in the huddle would tell him, "Whatever you do, don't get sacked".

Thank the gods for bye weeks, and thanks to TTF for this board. It is my Steelers therapy.
