Rainey

anyone have video of the play Rainey got hurt on? i wanted to see how he was hurt and if it was late...thanks

 

i don't have the video, but i can say that the hit could only be interpreted as late if you watch it in slow mo.

 

From what I saw it looks like 2 guys did a pile on tackle kind of thing after he hit the ground, the one guy looked like he slammed his helmet into Rainy on purpose though... I thought he hit his head, maybe it was his ribs???

 

I saw it the same way but they are saying it was a rib injury. Rib cartilage injury is what i've read.

What about the prayer huddle during that time? Anyone know what was up with that? I thought Rainey was unconscious or something the way it went down :?

 

From just seeing it in the game.I though someone fell on top of the ball as Chris was holding it to his chest....Maybe someone will come up with a video clip

 

The prayer circle was either for Rainey or was for hope that a hurricane remnant would strike Goodell's luxury box.

It looked like it was initiated by the Giants (more blue shirts than white in the circle) so might have had something to do with the hurricane devastation because there was no crash cart rushing to Rainey's side which often initiates the group Tebowing by both sides.

If it was for Rainey and with the way he was playing up to that point - it could have been ironic offsetting prayers with the Giants thankful he was leaving and the Steelers sorry he was leaving. Just saying.........................
