R.I.P Landry Jones

I accepted this since 2013.

 

This quote from Labriola the other day hit the nail on the head, for me.

Especially the part where he addresses that Landry is a huge step down from Ben:

 

so was charlie and lefty.

 

Those players were 2nd and 1st round draft picks who were starting QBs for four seasons.
And there were still calls of "the Steelers should have better backups, there is too big a dropoff if Ben is out".

While it would be nice to have an upgrade over LJones, getting upset that the Steelers don't have a starter-quality QB as a backup to Ben is unreasonable. (Especially given the number of teams that don't even have a #1 QB with starter-level talent.)

Any one that thinks there is a backup in this league that could replace Ben and play at Bens level are dreaming, that guy to replace him for multiple games doesnt exist, worse yet the day will come when he retires we are going to have to find his full time replacement and fans will make the mistake of comparing every play the new guy makes to Ben, and when those comparisons start, this board will explode with the negativity.....

he couldn't be Mannings back up like Manning

there is no reason we can't find a backup that can play in the NFL lead a NFL team know NFL football

papa johns is decent but gives me horrible crampy stinky gas. Mcd's is not food agreed, Tbell is crap but I love it.
