Question for those who don't want us in the playoffs

Why do some of you not want the Steelers to make the playoffs? The fear of being one and done seems like a silly reason.

 

they are just mad tomorrow they will be fine...all steeler fans want hem in the playoffs

 

It's a new season in the playoffs. And we usually play better against the team with more than 4 wins.

 

This. What Steelers fan doesn't want us to be in the playoffs by the way?

 

It sure was silly when it happened last year wasn't it?

 

I want us to earn it with wins not sneak in because someone else got beat. We are underacheving and thats frustrating.

 

If you don't go like 16-0 aren't you getting in because someone else got beat? The top six teams get in. If you're one of those six then you earned it. It's that simple.

 

Read through some of these threads over the last few weeks and there are several who have made the statement.

 

Ben just needed to knock some rust off, if we can win some more and lose no more, we will go deep in the playoffs!

 

...You mean like the guys who want higher draft picks?

No one else comes to mind.

And the "Higher Draft Pick" statement is usually one of frustration that works itself out.

I'm not coming up with anyone I can think of who want's us to not make the playoffs that is a steelers fan.

I disagree when we play like crap to a bad team (Done this several times this year) we haven't earned it. I guess I am holding us to a higher standard. Mabe i've gotten used to 12-4, 11-5 or better. I see guys playing on our field not like Steelers and like some other crappy team. That makes me mad (Again mabe I expect to much) and I want these guys to learn from their mistakes but we keep making the same ones every week.

BTW i'd love a 16-0 season every year! Realistically I like to see us play to the talent I think we have here.

 

You're wrong. Again the six teams with the best records at regular seasons end earn their way into the playoffs. It's that simple.

 

I'm not going to post names, but I agree with you that a Steelers fan would want them in the playoffs.

 

I think you are confusing not wanting us to be in the playoffs with not deserving it.

 

This is exactly what it is. I came here to say the same thing. I want nothing more than for the Steelers to make the playoffs, I'm just not confident that they'll do much with the opportunity with they way they're playing now.

 

Ben said they just need to get to the playoffs and then you never know.

i still hold out hope because this team is in the hunt and they have yet to play good.

2 wins with one against the Bengals and they will make it. i dont see the Bengals going 3-0 down the stretch.
