question for the capoligist out there

if colon is a $6.5 million hit against our cap and I understand we can move some of that to 2014. why if he only saves us $1.2 would we not at least bring him back? I read an article in the Pitt tribune that said this was the case. It just dont make alot of sense to me

 

because if you take a hit now (5 milion dead cap) in the 2014 season you have cap clean of 6,5

but i'm not so sure they will released him , they could ask him a pay cut , it depends if they still trust his phisical conditions
