When using the Clipper from Station Square to Heinz field where do you park? The parking garage or is there a better spot?

We used to take the boats over anytime we went to a game...until we got tired of paying so much, haha. Anyways...anywhere in station square. Its pretty much all the same...in the garage or in one of the lots. We usually parked on the lots (this was before the soccer field was there but still)...you generally get out of the lots quicker in most cases.

Thanks a lot. Any idea what lots charge to park? Just thinking about trying something different, we normally tailgate in one of the blue lots.
Looks like we're going to make it up again for the Dolphins game.

You can park in the lot right in front of where you get on the Clipper. They have a couple of lots, they are to the left of the Sheraton Hotel. I believe its like 10-20 dollars to park there all day. We tailgate in the parking lot and ride the Clipper every game we attend, it wouldn't feel right if we didn't ride across the river!

No problem. The last time we actually did it that way ad few years back...parking was I think around $15 and then the boat ride was i think like $10-12 per person or something like that.

And one comment about what Steeltradition said about tailgating in the Station Square lots...in the past I've seen people not allowed to do this...or be limited to what exactly they could do...compared to some of the regular Steeler lots. Things may have changed...I'm not sure...but yeah.

The Clipper is $10 each for a round trip ticket and I'm pretty sure kids (6 and under?) are free. Not sure about the parking.

There is a parking lot across the street from the parking garage at the mall. $5 for all day parking.

This may be a silly question, but does the river ever get too much ice for the Clipper to run?

In theory yes, in practice no. The coldest weather in Pgh is typically early Feb after even the latest playoff game. I don't think the rivers have iced up at the same time as a Steeler game, at least not in 25 yrs.
