This is sad our coaches are this bad.

And honestly a lot of these players would be striving if they were in the right system (Like Pickens).

If they know what's coming and still can't defend it how is that the coaches' fault?
That sounds more like a lack of execution.

If they know what’s coming it’s up to the guys closest to the ball getting after the QB… particularly the 3 defensive linemen.

I wonder if this team needs a Jalen Carter/Aaron Donald more than a TJ Watt?

Queen's not saying other teams know what's coming from the Steelers. He's saying the Steelers know what's coming from other teams, they just can't stop it.

Do they really know the ball is going over the middle every time on 3rd and long??? Leaving that part of the field wide open consistently tells a different story.

Maybe Queen and Payton should do better in pass coverage nobody wants to hear these lame post-game excuses.

Exactly. If anything I was trying to needle @S.T.D@S.T.D into responding. He doesn't post much after losses.

Arrogance of a FO that thought age wouldn't catch up to the likes of Watt and Heyward.

it's the scheme major part of our D problems and lack of communications in the secondary

"After finally turning a page on defense, or at least in the secondary, the Steelers seemed to have regressed on Sunday. Two dropped interceptions that would have drastically changed the game were the least of the team's worries.

Pittsburgh let Caleb Williams throw for three TDs and post a QB rating over 100. What was even worse, though, was that for whatever reason, the Steelers coaching staff thought it would be smart to have players like T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig in man coverage and play coverage concepts so basic, high school quarterbacks would be able to complete them."

Coaches don't just call plays, they "coach" players on how to play. This has been a problem for years with different players, not just the guys currently on the field. Coaching has to have some responsibility in correcting the problems that players have on the field, but it's been years and years that the Steelers don't cover the middle of the field on 3rd and long and give up 1st downs consistently. That's one example, but the problems have been around well before the current players.

And knowing what the other team is going to do doesn't necessarily overcome a bad scheme, so while execution is certainly a factor, it's not the only thing involved.
